I love the location of the hotel in the Brookline area; it’s such a wonderful place. However, I was very disappointed with the lobby staff. The hotel room had a musky smell, and the decor felt a bit outdated. Additionally, the sink drain was very slow.
Most importantly, the lobby staff were not very attentive. When I checked out, the staff member was distracted on her phone and texting. I asked if I could get a printed receipt, and she responded that she was busy talking to the front desk staff and would email the bill later. It felt like I was being ignored.
Later, when I tried to retrieve a charger I left in the room, I called ahead but didn’t receive a response. When I returned to the lobby, the staff member was still absorbed in her phone. It took a long time, and I only received my charger after being assisted by the cleaning lady.
Overall, while I enjoyed the location, the service at the front desk was disappointing.
