"This is a historical hotel and indeed the history is fabulous, everything appears like it did in 1773. Trouble is the rooms are also like this and the beds felt like they were 200 years old - so very uncomfortable. All part of the experience. Our room faced the street and I was surprised how much traffic noise kept me up until late at night, next time I will request a room facing inward. Not enough staff at the bar and dining during peak weekends, took forever just to get a cup of hot chocolate for the kids. But, very quaint, beautiful, that Main Street is just classic. "

"The entire home was clean. We especially enjoyed the comfortable living room and the table in the dining are we used to play cards. The backyard patio was beautiful. There was shopping and attractions to see within a short driving distance. Overall our experience was wonderful. "

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Stockbridge Inn. Diane, the owner, greeted us warmly and escorted us to our room. Our accommodations were comfortable, warm and spacious and quiet enough for us to have a good night sleep. Diane was very helpful in recommending other accommodations for a large family function that she as unable to help us with. The breakfasts were incredible and the staff was there to answer our any desire. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate this Inn a ten."
