No first floor bathroom
There are very limited hotels and lodges in Alaska. Motel 6 in Anchorage is one of the limited hotels/motels offers free airport services. We booked it mainly for this reason. There are no customers bathrooms on the first floor. We requested to use it, the unfriendly front desk clark said it was reserved for employees ONLY not for hotel guests. No restaurant in the hotel.

Hotel is very well taken care of.
Photos matched the room perfectly. The rooms were very clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. This area is an up and coming hotel neighborhood. There was a Starbucks within walking distance we went to in the morning before getting a Lyft to the train station. There isn’t a lot of restaurants choices within walking distance so be prepared to need a car to get around. The area was fine and I felt safe walking in the morning. I wouldn’t walk any big city in the evening alone and this area didn’t seem worth it since there were no close restaurants. I was worried by previous reviews but found this hotel to be a good value compared to other option in this area.

A comfort stay after a long day
Very friendly staff. Convenient airport shuttle available. My room was clean and comfortable. There was a microwave and mini fridge. Hotels.com says there is luggage storage but that is incorrect (not the motel’s fault!). Just be aware so you can make plans for that if needed.

Their bones but clean and comfortable. Very good bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Minimal amenities. Very expensive for what you get, but in relation to the rest of Anchorage is probably reasonable. Reception people are very nice. Free airport shuttle is great.
