Ok what you pay for

It was a decent hotel room for the price we paid, the man at the front desk was very nice and helped us in many ways. However the first morning we woke uo our air conditioner in our room was leaking and our floor was wet, someone elses room who was in our party the air didnt work. However the staff switched room immediately and was very nice and did it no questions asked the lobby was very warm. It did have a good breakfast and the pool looked like it had a film on top however other people were swimming so it could have been just a personal preference on my behalf

No air conditioning in the hotel or room and did not get any sleep in a 85 degree room . 2 towels given for a room that sleeps 4 with no soap. never told breakfast ended at 9:00. Went down at 9:30 w no food for my kids. Asked for a late checkout to find there is no front desk or office staff til after house keeping leaves. I wanted to request a late check out in order for me to take my kids to breakfast and back and was told no staff available to assist in that decision and I would be charged extra. Do no recommend this place and will be requesting a refund.

Very nice hotel for the price. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights while I participated in the National Senior Games, breakfast - good, shower - plenty of hot water and good pressure, tv - good size, beds/mattress - good not great, staff - very friendly and eager to please.

Walked in to the hotel and immediately noticed no air conditioning in the lobby, not a huge deal. Staff was very friendly, we had reserved a room with 2 queen beds, staff pointed out we were given a larger room due to it being handicap accessible, once again, very nice of them. When we walked into our room there an unpleasant odor and the carpet felt wet, I’m guessing the humidity in the building caused this, after a few minutes in the room you got used to it, but it was still noticeable every time you walked in and out of the room, The pool was great, 9/10cleanliness, the only bad part was that the water was super cold. The hot tub, which also looked amazing, was out of order. The shower floor in the handicap room needs some cleaning, everything else was very clean. The TV was dish T.v, some of the channels we were watching were freezing and lagging. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast, waffles, cereal, juice etc. No complaints. Over all a pretty good experience for the price.

We were in Ames for a dance competition this weekend. The staff was incredibly polite and responsive to any questions we had. Convenient location near the highway, not far from restaurants and entertainment. The hotel was comfortable with a very nice pool area! Our family had a wonderful time.

This hotel had been remodeled/on the process of being remodeled. The rooms were very nice and CLEAN! The staff was very friendly and took pride in their hotel. It is an AmericInn, not a luxury hotel; however, it was extremely nice for a very good price!

Thank You Americinn Ames!!

This Americinn is staffed by wonderful people and is so clean and neat that my mother would approve. The quiet is just what I wanted, restful sleep and no loud neighbors. The pool is refreshing and the hot tub is lovely. The breakfast was nourishing and varied and delicious.
