"The hotel itself isnt bad, quite a good location and room itself was ok. Were we had an issue was the check in and communication woth the staff. First day we checked in we had an extremely awkward check in with a member of staff who seemed to disbelieve that I was attending the hotel with my daughter, ..."

The Mill Hotel
"The hotel was lovely with some good old character and a real country pub feel about in the bar and terrace area. The staff were very nice & professional at all times and nothing seemed to be a problem for them when asked for or of them. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection & choice apart from Black Pudding (LOL). The only criticisms that I have are, being in room 45, the shower was pretty awkward to use because of where the shower head is mounted and had to position ourselves awkwardly to stand under it, would be better mounted on the wall directly above the taps and some of the room doors on corridors could do with a lick or two of paint, especially the room doors walking through the glass corridor between the rooms and the bar etc. Apart from that, I thought everything else was excellent and would recommend and will definitely stay again when back down visiting my friends, but will use my Blue Light discount next time now that we know this is available, which wasn't advertised at the time of booking."
