The room was very warm even though not a hot day outside. There was air conditioning in the corridors but not the room.
I received an email during the day saying that I would receive an upgrade to a suite due to the lift being out of action however when I checked in I was told that I couldn't have an upgrade even when I complained about the room being too hot. Apparently my suite had been given to somebody else.
Also when we went for dinner at 8.15 we were told that the kitchen had closed early so that the grilles/canopies could be cleaned. We were not told that we needed to eat earlier due to this when we checked in.
We were offered a dessert only!
I work in the restaurant business and all maintenance of this kind is planned out of hours so as to not disrupt the customer experience. This should have been the case here. There were still people in the restaurant eating. They should have at least waited to do the work until the service had finished.
Apart from that poor experience the rooms were nice,
