Uncomfortable walking past some homeless people in the surrounding streets. Hotel main entrance is locked and requires card access after 8 pm as a safety measure. But location is close to downtown and a manned city parkade is just opposite and free parking on Sunday’s and holidays. The fridge and the expression machine are noisy.

I loved this hotel. It was clean, quiet, and the beds were like sleeping in a cloud. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would suggest is they turn the air-conditioner down throughout the hotel as it was quite chilly and we had to keep switching the heat on, but that was our only inconvenience.

The hotel itself is considered an ‘boutique’ hotel, its small, older building, renovated nicely inside and out. Unfortunately, no onsite parking and no valet service. Had to follow a map to get my vehicle to the paid parking which was secure and underground; just a bit of a process to drive my car there and then to walk back to the hotel. The biggest letdown though is the area and neighbourhood which has unfortunately gone downhill over the past several years.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Rialto. It is a boutique size and style hotel with all the expected amenities including an on-site restaurant and lounge. Front desk was very helpful in arranging for luggage storage and advising on transportation options. Lounge was very relaxing with generous happy hours and comfortable surroundings. A special thank you to Zoey for her pleasant company, tasteful drinks and friendly advice on things to do while in Victoria.

AN OASIS WHERE ANGELS RESIDE This hotel is awesome! The staff are true angels! The front desk staff are very helpful, in particular, Bartu who is always willing to do whatever he can and extremely accommodating to make your trip as pleasant as humanly possible. Then there is Arlene, Colton, Helen and Victoria who make up the rest of this fantastic team! The rooms are super clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff are hard working and this hotel is close to many amenities and historic sites in and around the downtown core of Victoria! The Italian flair within this hotel makes you feel like you have left Canada and dropped yourself into Venice briefly. The rooms are spacious and cozy at the same time. The beds are comfortable and the pillows I found were very comfortable and firm if you happen to be a side sleeper! So, if you are ever planning a trip to Victoria, check this hotel out as it is truly magical
