Our charming and family-friendly arts-and-crafts era home will be your base camp for both soccer and endless summer activities. A short bike, bus or drive to the stadium. And before or after soccer, there's another feast to enjoy. It's Kitsilano! 1 block to acres of park and miles of beach and ocean. 5 minutes to downtown. 5 minutes walk to neighbourhood restaurants, shopping and buses, 5 seconds to city-wide bike path. World-class theatres, museums and theatres are ready to tell you their stories. With hardwood floors throughout the house, downstairs features a spacious hall opening onto the living room, dining room and kitchen. The large living room has floor to ceiling windows and a wood-burning fireplace. Workers, relaxers and entertainers alike enjoy the comfortable furniture and a large work table. The dining room table opens onto back porch and features a spacious antique table seating 10 or more of your old and new friends. A well-equipped and efficient kitchen has the latest appliances. The large window and door to the back porch which comfortably seats 2-4 people for meals and candlelit evenings among the flowers. Upstairs has 3 bedrooms. Master bedroom has a queen bed, a large closet with drawers and and 1 separate dresser. 2nd bedroom converts from TV lounge to double bed. Full-size dresser and cupboard. 3rd bedroom has a queen bed, cupboards, chest of drawers and french doors opening onto large greenhouse/conservatory. Sky-lit bathroom and separate toilet room. Full-size washer and dryer in basement. Front garden features pond with koi and goldfish, roses, perennials and mature trees and shrubs. Outdoor dining table seats 10. Full-size Weber BBQ feeds all the folks. Need a bit of quiet serenity? Feed the fish then sit by the pond and gaze at them. Works every time. The house is lovely and had everything we could ask for (esp a robust kitchen for cooking at home, beautiful gardens and reading areas, lots of books and beautiful artwork), the location is excellent (especially if you enjoy walks along the water and extensive bike trails, and like having restaurants, stores and grocery all a few blocks away), but most importantly the hosts are so generous and helpful. We had such a nice visit, our best time yet in Vancouver.
We had a great stay in Kitsilano. Our group of 4 adults and 2 kids (4&7) all enjoyed their time at the house. In a quiet residential area, with lots of parks close by and the water a few minutes walk away.
The house was comfortable and unique. We all enjoyed the art work and decor in the house and the kids loved the garden and enjoyed feeding the fish.
The house is away from the noise of downtown Vancouver, which was a pleasant change. It's located near West 4th street which has many interesting stores and restaurants. If you are thinking about staying here, we walked to Granville Island in about 45 min, it was a lovely walk and a really nice way to enjoy the city.
The house was clean and tidy, we really didn't need for anything. We would definitely consider staying again in the future!

Our stay with Maureen and Col was absolutely lovely. The house was more than equipped and full of charm. The location is ideal for seeing all Vancouver has to offer. Communication with the property owners was easy and they were on hand if ever needed. I would love to stay with them again! And would highly recommend this listing to all!!!
