Overall decent experience. Kids liked the pools and beach access. It is an older building and it shows in places. The kitchen stuff in our unit was highly used, broken blender etc. The plumbing was problematic and had to call maintenance twice. Also avoid the ice machines... if you look up the shoot you'll find pink mold. We will probably look at other options next time.

Upon arrival at 4 o’clock, our room was not ready. It was booked a month in advance. They assigned another room to us, and it was not ready as well. No working ice machines. Please be aware of hidden charges and bar drinks some things seem like a scam. Tips were automatic included on drinks and tickets. The restaurant located on the second floor was overpriced and poor quality. Housekeeping was very sporadic. When we arrived at four, like I said, the room was not ready and probably at five is when they reassigned a clean room to us. There were several bookings that were sitting around waiting for their rooms. The front desk staff was not very helpful the other staff that was involved with service items, such as drinks, food, etc. were very helpful after all they were tipped upfront please be aware that if your room is located on the first or second floor of the old part of the hotel parking is some distance away and you have to haul your luggage. Very good distance to get to your rooms. I certainly would not consider this a friendly resort for those with disabilities. we’ve stayed in several hotels in South Padre this ranks at the bottom.

The restaurant inside hotel is a five out of ten and due to us using Expedia we had to get whatever room was available and due to my knee being messed up we had stairs to climb and the hotel is beautiful but really have to explain what is available for us to use and what we’re going to be charged extra umbrella and chairs for a beach and ice machine only two available beautiful scenery just really need to give information to guest so we can bring what we need to have a full vacation
