Visit back home

What. Beautiful property and location. We were back home from Texas and Colorado for a family event and the house fit us perfectly. The host was gracious to allow us to have the extended family congregate as we needed. Looking forward to visiting there again

Wine Tasting Group 2024

Finger Lake Friends

We have been traveling up to the Finger Lake for 20 plus years, and have stayed at a lot of beautiful places, but this home was nostalgic and so comfortable, we had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms the home was within driving distance to all our favorite places. The front porch was delightful and we all enjoyed a good bit of time and fellowship on it, making great memories as well as enjoying the view of the lake through some trees. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful and relaxing

We had a wonderful time in the area. The house was clean and comfortable. Everything was laid out in the handbook and the owners were very prompt with responses and giving info. Would definitely recommend!

Girls trip to the Finger Lakes

Great location, nice house with plenty of room to spread out. 4 ladies for 5 nights, mainly just breakfast there, cooked on the grill one night. We loved having coffee on the front porch, looking at the lake.

Excellent family getaway!

Susie and Steve have an amazing house and were great hosts! Plenty of room for a family vacation. Susie was very responsive to any questions we had. House had everything we needed and more! Porch was perfect for morning coffee and hanging with the family. Quiet street with not a lot of traffic was perfect for the short walk to Cayuga Lake State Park. Highly recommend!

Large house with great front yard

It is a big, comfortable house, and our group enjoyed our stay. The kids really enjoyed running around the big front yard with a tree swing and a view of the lake. The only drawback is that the host didn't provide some of the things we've come to expect for a long weekend. Each bathroom had a single roll of toilet paper, no extra garbage bags, no soap in the showers, and no olive oil in the kitchen.

Peaceful Getaway

The house, and the location were perfect. Being our 3rd time to the Finger Lakes, this was the best loction as it was in close proximity to many attractions not only for adults but for the kids as well. The house was beautiful, clean, and full of charm.

Great Location and Charming House

The owners were great communicators and their VRBO home allowed us to have an enjoyable family vacation. There were plenty of rooms, a nice porch to enjoy the view of Cayuga Lake, and the location was close enough for some fun day trips to Ithaca and Geneva. Great character in this home and a fun place for a relaxing family vacation!

Hops, Grapes and Lakes was Spectacular!

We rented this beautiful home for a 70th birthday party for a twin sister and brother. 8 people stayed for the long weekend and 5 more joined for lunch to celebrate. Everything was perfect! The layout is such that everyone could find a place to sit and chat, share a glass of wine, or enjoy the beautiful lake view from the porch. The house is very convenient to so many interesting places to visit that are within 10-20 minutes. That, of course is only if you can tear yourselves away from the house!! Beds are comfy, furniture is too…. Bathrooms are spacious… it was just Spectacular. Thanks so much for letting us rent it! We’ll be back!

Wonderful front porch & lots of space for everyone

Great house! 5 beds plenty of Space for teenagers. We had a great time celebrating my husbands 53rd birthday. Went to the park down the road to out in our kayaks twice. Rented a pontoon boat in Seneca Lake for the day-20 minutes away. And did a lot of reading and relaxing on the front porch. Kitchen was well stocked and we used the puzzles they had. Never turned in the TV. It was a great long weekend stay. Thank you for letting us use your beautiful home!

Great house and location

This was perfect for our family summer week together (5 adults and 3 children). The house was very comfortable and roomy for everyone. The location was central to our activities, which included wine and cheese tastings, the Sciencenter in Ithaca (excellent for kids!), a boat tour, bird watching, waterfalls, great food and drink, and the beach and playground just a half mile down the road.

A Little Slice of Heaven

WOW! Just - WOW! This home and location were fantastic! We were more than surprised by the size of this home (the pictures simply do not do it justice). This home and property were very well maintained. It had everything that you needed for a week’s stay. The bedrooms were much bigger than we thought, the living room was huge, the dining room was just as impressive, and the butler’s pantry & kitchen were perfect. There was plenty of room for 10 adults. The best feature of this home was the massive front porch. For our group, we spent a lot of the time , when we were home, on the front porch which had a beautiful view of Lake Cayuga. The location was perfect and getting to and from the home after visiting a winery (there were A LOT), a restaurant, or a hike was easy. We weren’t staying in a house but rather a home. It was very inviting and had a familiar feeling. I had a chance to talk to both Susie and Steve and they were really friendly, nice, and gracious. If you want THE PERFECT home to stay in while visiting the Finger Lakes area, do yourself a favor and book this home. Our group cannot wait to go back again!

Local College Graduation

The house was beautiful and perfect for our needs. Our daughter graduated from Wells College that weekend. We were able to host a small luncheon after the graduation ceremony. The proximity of the house to the college, stores, wine/cheese venues, the lake, diners and eateries was perfect! Beds were very comfortable! Coffee bar was perfect and so was sitting on the front porch with my coffee, watching the sunrise! I would definitely stay again!!
