Peaceful paradise

Wonderful experience at Casa Timlin! Tim was an excellent host and Ian very helpful with activities. Reyna was always very sweet and helpful. Communication was great all the way around, and the property certainly spoke for itself. Totally Spoiled!

First, the house was amazing!!! It sits up on a hill for amazing views/sunsets but is close enough to the beach and town to walk each day. Yes, there is a "slight hill" but it was great for walking off the food. Everything you can imagine is provided from soap, hair dryer, to pool toys and beach chairs. We watched the sunset in the evening and listened to howler monkeys in the morning. Reyna made sure everything was immaculate and each day we returned from our activities, the house was freshly cleaned (We felt guilty). Ian put up with our procrastination and set up our tours after we arrived and managed to book us on everything we wanted. Can't imagine staying anywhere else after this house. Thank you so much for everything!

Amazing house with spectacular views!

We stayed at Casa Timlin during spring break 2025. The house is gorgeous with tons of modern amenities and priceless views of the bay. Tim, Ian and Reyna went out of their way to make us feel at absolutely on vacation. Ian knows lots of people and was able to get us a beautiful boat for the next day! We would absolutely return to this lovely home.

Much better than described!

Stayed here 4 nights with our family. All I can say is WOW. First the owner, Tim, welcomed us to the house. He spent about 20 minutes talking about some of the details and what to expect. Super nice guy and I wish all property managers / owners were like him. I messaged him a few times during our stay and he responded within seconds. Second, the house. It is the only one I have stayed at where the online pictures do not do it justice. This place has EVERYTHING you will need, and then some. The kitchen has all the spices, oils and whatever else that you will need. The furniture is extremely high end and fits the house perfectly. We had zero issues while we were there. The house comes with all of the beach accessories you will need. Third and most important, the crown jewel of this house is Reyna. She is the housekeeper and will cook for you if you want. She was there every morning with a smile on her face. Her English is not great, but we had no problems communicating through google translate. We asked her to cook dinner for us one evening and it was by far, the best meal we had in CR. She is what made our trip one of the best we have taken. The location of the house is great. It is on a steep hill so I would highly recommend a car. It is a one minute drive to the beach and 4-5 minutes to the main street where most of the restaurants, grocery stores and shops are located.

Wonderful! Amazing home and location

Casa Timlin exceeded our expectations! Beautiful home and setting with gorgeous sunsets. Local restaurants were great but we enjoyed eating dinner at the home as much. Reyna is a wonderful cook and was so relaxing to enjoy the pool, views and veranda in the evening. Tim was great with the preparation and check-in process, making travel so easy and enjoyable. Our kids, aged 11-17, loved the house and area as well. We highly recommend!Lots to do in this area. We enjoyed Playa de Coco as well as Playa Hermosa, only a 10 minute drive. Both had great ocean waves and boogie boarding for hours! Diamonte adventure park was really fun as well as sailboat/snorkel/island bbq excursion through Don Bosco tours.We enjoyed surfing, rainforest, volcano, hanging bridges prior to staying at Casa Timlin, and would be worth looking into day trips and/or combining with another overnight, as all were really fun.

Fabulous Views

The Timlin house delivered on its promises! The house is beautifully situated in a great location. You can walk to great restaurants and Coco beach. The house has everything you need from towels to grill to amazing views! Just loved waking up to those views over a cup of coffee and winding down for the evening with a glass of wine! Our family had a fantastic vacation!

Amazing

We had four fantastic nights at Casa Timlin. The house is gorgeous, spotless, and quiet. Chilling in the endless pool and watching the sunsets and evening storms was incredible. It’s an easy stroll down to the beach and lots to explore. Coco Beach is a fun place to walk around with plenty of great restaurants. Tim is a great host and took excellent care of us during our stay. Highly recommend staying here! We hope to be back soon.

Immaculate Stay with perfect views

This house is probably better than the pictures...at least in 2024. If you prefer ocean views over a beachfront stay, this is an exquisite property. I would give it a 6 star rating on property due to the attention to detail of every single little thing about the house. Everything is there...there's nothing that hasn't been thought of...and it is arranged as if it were the Four Seasons Resort. The beach is 1/2 mile walk down the hill...and it is brown sand...hence the name Cocoa Beach. The owner was very congenial, and his housekeeper was an amazing young lady with a huge smile and vibrant personality.

Beyond Amazing!!

I can't say enough good things about our stay at Casa Timlin, our host Tim, and Reyna the housekeeper/chef. Tim was a huge resource for our trip, offering tips/tricks, restaurant recommendations, concierge services and more. He helped plan a special birthday dinner for my daughter. Tim was extremely responsive to all inquiries. The house was BEAUTIFUL. And Reyna prepared dinner one evening with our fresh catch from fishing. It was a perfect trip and we can't wait to visit Casa Timlin again!

Wow!! 5 stars plus

I've been traveling with my family to Costa Rica for 14 years, staying mainly in the Playa del Coco, Ocotal and Hermosa Beach area. There have been some amazing homes but always something not quite perfect. Casa Timlin did not disappoint!! This house went above our expectations. The communications with Tim from pre-arrival to departure and during our stay, he was available. The house has every amenity you might need. A special treat is Reyna, she takes care of the house and the guests. My sister was in hospitality business for 35 years and has huge expectations especially for cleanliness, Reyna gets 5 stars. Her sweet plantains won the best in Coco award from all of us. We spent our days between the jacuzzi, pool and covered porch. Evenings watching movies on the large tv with great selections for all ages. We wish Tim a huge success with Casa Timlin, just hope he will have room for us when we return.

My family had the opportunity to stay at Casa Timlin and what a great choice. The views are spectacular and just as pictured. The location is super convenient, 5 minutes to everything, tourist shops, grocery, bars, etc. the house is cutting edge and very safe. Sunset Central!

Can't beat it! The house is amazing and from Tim to Reyna to the concierge team, everything was perfect. Communication was great and it was so nice seeing Reyna's bright smile every morning. We spent every evening watching the sunset in the pool with a cocktail, it was breathtaking. We enjoyed having dinner on the patio and lounging on the hammock. Bottom line, Casa Timlin was the best place to be for our vacation! We look forward to returning soon!

Magical property and amazing views

We had an incredible week stay at Tim's house. It was a great base to explore the beaches on the north western coast and was a five minute drive to markets for anything you need in Coco, restaurants and the beach. It is stocked with all the supplies you would require for cooking and grilling, which we did every day. It was nice so exceptional that we decided it was better just to hang out, cook, enjoy the sunsets, and swim again and again. You won't want to leave these magical views and gorgeous house!

Lifetime of memories at Timlin

We spent a week with our two adult children in Playa de Coco (April 24) and had one of our best vacations at Timlin. Tim and his staff were attentive to every need and detail from time of booking through our departure. Not only was the villa one of the beast we've ever stayed, but their concierge services allowed us to travel throughout the area without any concerns. Highly recommend and will be back.

Amazing place!

One of our BEST experiences renting a home. Tim was great from our initial messages when booking to our final checkout. We felt very welcomed and appreciated all he did for our family. Arriving late he thought to buy us items for breakfast and some local CR coffee. Reyna welcomed us each day with a bright smile and kept everything spotless. The house is amazing! The view from the infinity pool and patio kept us occupied for hours. We enjoyed sunsets each night from the hot tub or hammock. We loved the Coco area. Great restaurants and welcoming people. Beautiful beaches to the north and south. Loved every minute of our vacation! Grateful for your hospitality!!! 5 Stars for PEOPLE, PLACE, PROXIMITY, PICTURESQUE, and PURA VIDA!!!

Spectacular Home

Staying at Casa Timlin was an absolute dream! Tim was a pleasure to work with and always responded quickly! He greeted us at check-in and gave us a tour of the home showing us everything we needed to know. He also had a map of the area and made suggestions of dinning and activities to visit. Casa Timlin was equipped with everything you can think of for your stay. He even had fresh fruit and drinks available to enjoy! The beach chairs and other supplies for the beach were a bonus and greatly appreciated. The outdoor pool, hot tub and deck was perfectly placed to enjoy the views of the ocean, hills, and wildlife. Inside was beautiful as well. It was equipped with everything you would ever need. The best part was the views from the outside were also seen from the bedrooms and kitchen! Don’t think twice about staying at Casa Timlin! We hope to return someday!

A First Class and Spectacular Property in Every Way!

Just WOW! I would like to start by mentioning that I am a 'Premier Host' with a VRBO lake home outside of Houston which I have been renting for 7 years. With that being said, I can appreciate how much effort it takes to have a truly exceptional property where guests feel right at home. We looked through more than 200 VRBO properties on the 'Gold Coast' of Costa Rica, and when we came across Tim's gorgeous home, it really stood out. We booked that same day, and it was the best decision we could have made for our first trip to Costa Rica! The communication and visitors guide provided outlined everything we needed to know about the home and trip. It really made things so incredibly easy with guidance on transportation, groceries, excursions and more! Tim went out of his way to greet us at the property upon arrival and walk us through all of its amazing features. We were simply blown away with the home, OUTSTANDING views, as well as the countless thoughtful amenities. The infinity pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen, and lounge area are second to none! The views are breathtaking, and we took an exhaustive number of photos! Tim has set a new bar for VRBO stays, and I learned a few things for my own property. It was incredibly clean and well-stocked to ensure his guests have what they need for an amazing stay. We had an incredible experience and would not hesitate to return and recommend to others! Renya was also a dream and really made the experience special! Book it!!

Amazing experience .

From checkin to check out the experience was like no other I have had with a short term rental. The house itself is beyond expectation with breathtaking views and literally has everything you could need from pool and beach supplies to toiletries and kitchen essentials. Reyna was one of the best parts of our stay and her smile was invigorating. She cooked us some delicious authentic Costa Rican breakfast and lunch at our request. Tim checked in throughout our stay to ensure it was great. The hospitality was beyond expectations and the small touches to get our trip off to an awesome start and wine on the last day were very touching and unexpected. I would highly recommend and would give a 10/10! Thank you for an amazing first experience in Costa Rica and we hope to return soon.

We stayed a week at the house and it was great. The property is just like described, but the view from the pool and deck is just awesome. You get the great view by being above the beach and the road up is pretty steep. You'll see a lot of golf carts around town, but I don't think they'd make it up the hill. You can walk to the beach, but it's really to far to walk into town where most of the shops and restaurants are located. With a car you easily get around town and to some other great close beaches. Driving is simple and fairly well marked and is an easy drive from the airport in Liberia. The only downside is that it gets hot in the afternoon in the pool which is full sun. A little shade would have been nice in the pool, but that's really minor. We would definitely stay here again and even talked about bringing our adult children next time, maybe.
