Friendly attentive staff. Nice room however the view was of the backs of townhomes and their windows. The complimentary breakfast bar does not include waffle or pancake makers. This is a plus for me in that those devices are an attractive nuisance that kids rush to and create all kinds of havoc and burnt batter smells in the process. No self-parking but the valets are efficient, but it is a tacked-on charge (not to mention tipping).

Parking is available on the streets usually very easy during the day but difficult in the evening they do have 24 hour valet. It’s $19 in and out privileges real nice valet guys.

Family Stay

Our family took a trip to Santa Cruz for a get a way. The Hyatt was wonderful for all of us. Staff was very nice and helpful, Pool and hot tub were clean, the kids loved it. Breakfast was delicious and even had something for my picky eater. Our room was large and very clean. Vallet very convenient. Santa Cruz Hyatt Place was perfect for our family get a way, we will be returning in the future.

Only thing I did not like was when my tv wasn’t working I asked if someone could fix it the guy that knocked on the door didn’t speak any English also the next day i ran out of toilet paper a different guy came to the door and also did not speak English if they are going to hire people that don’t speak a word of English at least make the investment to send them to school to learn

Valet parking is separate about $20. Rooms didn't have even a microwave. Breakfast was good but the refill pace was slow. Overall ok if you are by yourself, with family and kids I recommend to find something better. Cost was affordable.
