Clarion Hotel Mestari
"It was a very comfortable stay for five nights. The staff were always cheerful and exceptionally helpful. Even though our room window was on the street side, it was extremely quiet. We didn't hear any traffic noise and with a perfect blackout window curtain we slept pretty good. The hotel is just little under a mile from the Central Market, and was quite walkable for us. One can get tram a couple of hundred yards from the hotel, but we never used. Your Sauna is a great bonus for overseas guests to experience this Finnish specialty. We enjoyed it. In fact, I wanted to give it five stars, but very unwillingly decided to give four stars just to draw the attention of the hotel management to these aspects that needs improvement: 1) The breakfast was quite diverse, but exactly absolutely the same items all five days. 2) The hallway lights are too dim and more importantly, the carpet in the hallway (we were on the 4th floor) is dark with spooky pattern that makes it look nasty dirty. 3) There is no elevated barrier under the glass door of the shower stall resulting in water flowing out of the bath area to all over the bathroom. Please put a half inch wide and tall strip of tile along under the length of the glass door which is what you see at hotels and homes. 4) The extra door leading to Rooms 401 and 402 is very heavy and unnecessary. It's a safety hazard in case of fire. Think about it."
