The hotel had a great location in terms of being able to walk to many nearby restaurants/Byward market/Parliament Hill/other sights. Downtown Ottawa is not the cleanest so always good to be aware of your surroundings. The hotel itself was great, clean and spacious room. Indoor pool. Gym equipment seemed all new. The laundry services were higher than average.

We loved the hotel, however upon our arrival we found it difficult to enter the parking garage. The fellow in the car, behind me, had to ask the staff to open the garage. I did speak to the front desk staff. They were very apologetic and explained that this was a security situation due to a number of homeless people in the surrounding area. Ottawa needs to clean up the city.

The hotel itself was perfect! Spotlessly clean, tons of off-the-floor space for bags and belongings. The privacy of the washroom wasn’t the greatest since we booked a room with 2 queen beds for 4, the washroom had only a frosted glass sliding door that didn’t give the girls of the trio as much privacy as we would have liked. The location of the hotel was situated within perfect walking distance to downtown, but the people outside did make us uncomfortable to tour the city in the late afternoon to the evening.

Very clean and modern room and amenities. Excellent breakfast menu and atmosphere. Comfortable beds, very clean rooms and bathrooms. Terrible surroundings with lots of homeless people, very dirty streets, nothing to do with the hotel, but very unpleasant the second you step outside.
