First time to the Bahamas. We were wanting something beautiful and away from the Spring break and cruise ship scene. Sandyport Resort hit the mark on all of our requirements for our family vacation. The location and property were just beautiful. Loved the quiet charm of the resort. Customer service was top notch.

We went to Sandyport during spring break week and worried about crowded beaches but it was amazing! A shallow lagoon beach and private ocean beach, both lovely and not crowded at all! Each spot had chairs, umbrellas and hammocks and some easy food options. In the evening we could walk around the adjacent marina village and get yummy casual meals. A very easy and relaxing trip!

This is the perfect place for anyone seeking a relaxing, peaceful, safe and beautiful vacation. This property is perfect for families with young kids, and particularly toddlers and preschool/kindergarten age. The beach is calm, shallow and has warm water. You can wake early and have the gorgeous beach to yourself, and find seashells and crabs. The staff are all so friendly and clearly love children. Everyone knew my kids’ names by the time we left. The amenities are simple, but you have everything you need for a relaxing vacation with a true Bahamas vibe. The staff is very helpful and will arrange whatever activities you want to do, and will arrange transport as well.

SandyPort Beach Resort was the perfect escape for our young family with toddlers! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Ms. Pam at the front desk was an absolute angel—though our requested lower-level lagoon view room wasn’t available at check-in, she made sure we got it the very next day. Her kindness and professionalism truly set the tone for our stay. Basco at the Conch Shack was another standout—his drinks were always on point, and the food, especially the conch salad, was outstanding. I hated that we didn’t get to say goodbye to him, as he was off on our last day. The resort itself was ideal for families. The pool and slides were a hit with our kids, and the private beach—just a five-minute walk away—was never crowded. We always found beach chairs and umbrellas with no hassle. If you can, definitely book a lower-level lagoon suite; being able to step right onto the sand from our sliding door was a game-changer! Ignore the negative reviews—this place is great. Yes, it could use some updating, but that didn’t affect our experience at all. Plus, there are plenty of fantastic restaurants within walking distance. We had an amazing time and will absolutely be returning next year. Huge thanks to Pam and Basco for making our stay so special!

So relaxing! So friendly! So what we needed! There could be more options for shopping/boutiques/gifts/etc in the resort shopping plaza. It was mostly notaries, chiropractors and business offices. But the resort is gorgeous. The staff is absolutely amazing, friendly and helpful. My wife and I enjoyed every second. We will definitely return!

We had a recent stay here; Friday – Sunday. The property was clean, quiet, and charming! The beach and view were top notch. All of the Staff we encountered were amazing and accommodating. The food options were limited, but what they had was very tasty. Our Friday visit to their on property eatery “Da Conch Shack” was nice and pleasant. Again, the food was good. Our Saturday visit was a major disappointment. One of the Staff members (Johnny), refused to service my party of two (2) and make us conch salad. It was 2pm in the afternoon; not closing time nor was it busy…no one was waiting. I mean going to Nassau – conch salad is a part of the experience. If Johnny had did his job, nothing additional, this would have been a glowing five (5) star review. Many thanks to everyone else……

We loved that this resort was away from the hustle and bustle. Being surrounded by sand and the lagoon while still having access to the pool (and Da Conch Shack for food and drinks) was the perfect beach getaway.

I can't say enough about everyone working at this property -- so remarkably friendly, helpful and kind. Lady Sarah, Pam - thank you SO MUCH for everything! The restaurant food was really good (albeit pricey, but that is to be expected on an island). You can walk to the grocery store and a bottle shop to stock up the mini fridge in the room. It is such a relaxing place with hammocks and loungers on the beach, right outside your door. It is quiet and so calming and restful. Easy to get around the island and to downtown Nassau via the bus (once you learn how to ride it - be sure to ask at the front desk for instructions!). Can't wait to return to Sandyport!

Such a great stay! All the staff were so friendly and helpful during our stay. The resort is quiet and peaceful with plenty of great places to eat within walking distance. (Twisted Lime was our favorite!) Clean facilities and quiet room, slept great!

The staff was so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the charm of this resort and that it wasn’t overly crowded with people. There were good restaurants that were walkable from the property. The pools left a little to be desired and both the slides were out of order for our entire stay. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely go back. It was probably a little expensive for the overall age and condition of the property but again it was a great vacation.
