Bear Cabin-One Level/ Indoor hot tub/pet friendly

Escape to the serenity of our charming 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom mountain retreat house, nestled just by the main road of Massanutten Rd on flat ground. You don't need an All-wheel drive! You'll be within easy reach to Waterparks, ski slope, hiking trails, biking routes, and great brewery nearby. The Harrisonburg town center with James Madison University and a variety of shops and restaurants and the famous Shenadoah Valley, Luray Cavern, is just a short drive away.
Our spacious retreat can comfortably accommodate up to 9 guests.
The main features include:
Bedrooms: Three private bedrooms with real log bed frames and comfortable mattresses and bedding and ample storage space in closet and dressers.
Bathrooms: Two full bathrooms with bathtub/shower combo, fresh towels, toiletries, and hairdryers.
Living Room: The electric fireplace is perfect for chilly mountain nights. 2 sleeper sofas that can be converted to full size bed.
SunRoom: Filled with sunshine and breathe taking mountain view, foosball table, an epic pac-man game arcade and a new streetfighter arcade, basketball game, foosball table, a smart TV and a convertible futon. Enjoy the family fun here. easy access to the deck as well.
Kitchen: A fully-equipped kitchen with all the essentials for your culinary adventures. K-cup Coffee, tea bags, cream and sugar provided. 2 types of coffee makers and coffee grinder provided for all coffee lovers. Air fryer, waffle maker and toaster also provided.
Dining Area: A dining table with seating for six, ideal for family meals. 4 additional stools in the next room can be moved to join the dinning table.
Outdoor Deck: A large deck complete with a BBQ grill and outdoor dining area suitable for up to 6.
Firepit: Roast marshmallows under the stars around our outdoor firepit. (NOTE: Do NOT Leave open fire unattended).
Hot Tub: indoor for better privacy. Access from the master bedroom or the game room side door.
Guest has access to the entire house except the owner's closets, garage and crawl space.

Our mountain retreat is situated in heart of the all-season resort providing all year long fun for the entire family. Guest can access the Owner association's outdoor pool for a cost of $6/day/person between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Wi-Fi is available for staying connected, but the mountain lifestyle encourages you to unplug.
Pets are welcome with prior approval and a one-time fee of $100 per pet. (max 2 pets allowed.)
Please put correct number of the guests on the reservation. There is an extra guest fee over 6 to accommodate the additional expenses.

Perfect Family Getaway

This house was perfect for a low key relaxing family getaway - something for everyone. All the games and activities were in working order and kept kids entertained for hours. We did some hiking in the area, but honestly the kids would have been happy to have never left the house!Everything was clean and as described. We were a little surprised that the shower side of the owners suite bathroom had no door separating It from the sleeping area. Not a deal breaker, but good to know. Toilet side had a door. We absolutely recommend staying at Bear Cabin!

Amazing location…Beautiful Home!

Took a quick weekend trip to Massanutten to kick off my birthday festivities and Bear Cabin couldn’t have been more perfect. 2 mins with 3 boys aged 6 and 9 and there was more than enough space, the games and amenities and decor were perfect to keep us busy when not at the indoor waterpark or snow tubing. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

We had a lovely time at the Bear cottage. Our kids LOVED the game room and it was so helpful to have that in our downtime. We also loved the hottub every night after being on the slopes. Would definitely stay here again and recommend!

Virginia motorcycle ride getaway

Came to Virginia to ride our Harley and was looking for a place on paved flat ground to easily access property because we were trailering bike. This property was perfect. Paved roads, flat ground and plenty of parking space. (A bit close to a busy noisy road but nothing that wasn’t tolerable). Close to skyline drive and stores. The house was well stocked, clean and plenty of things to do. Excellent vacation home. We will return.

Family Gathering/Special Occasion

This home exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and cooking supplies. The sofas and beds were very comfortable. The rooms were spacious. We had 3 children with us and they enjoyed the basketball, PacMan, and other games. The grill and outdoor deck were perfect for cooking out. The kitchen table was a good size and we could fit the 8 of us comfortably. The house was very clean. It was great to have everything on one level. We enjoyed the water park, pool, go karts, and bumper cars. All within an easy drive. It was a wonderful weekend, and we hope to come back again. Thank you to a very gracious host.

Fathers Day Getaway

Our stay was wonderful. Home was as described. It was very clean and as my son said "homey". We enjoyed all the extras in the home from the basketball game to all the boardgames. It was close to all the attractions. Host was also very easy to communicate with. Will stay again in the future.

My husband & I enjoyed our stay at Stephanie’s home very much. It was super clean & very comfortable. It had all the amenities that were listed. It is right beside the main road so there is some traffic noise during the night for light sleepers, but it was still a perfect stay! We would definitely recommend & would stay again ourselves!

This house was fantastic; we absolutely adored it. It was clean and welcoming. We loved the bear theme. The organized labeling of items was a great touch. The kitchen was well-stocked with good-quality pots and pans. The couch and beds were comfortable. We were tired after skiing, so we mostly watched TV and relaxed. However, there were plenty of other fun things available to do in the house. Its convenient location allowed quick and very easy access to all resort amenities. The host was exceptional, always prompt in responding. This residence will definitely be my top choice for future stays.
