We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s conveniently located just a short walk from Shin Kyoto train station, which is lined with shops and restaurants. The breakfast was bustling with large groups, but the staff handled it with grace and efficiency. The room was spotless, modern, and spacious, which is quite impressive for Japan’s standards. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Superb and convenient location close to Kyoto Station which has multiple dining options and shopping within the station. The room was neat, clean and while quite small compared to Australian standards, considering it is Japan, it was sufficent space for 2 people. The staff were friendly and despite the language barrier they did their best to help us forward our luggage to our next hotel. Thank you for a memorable and happy stay.

JR West Group Via Inn is a modern great hotel which provides easy access to public transport. The breakfast is genuine Kyoto dishes at great quality. The service is great and the self-help laundry facility is so useful for long holiday travellers.

The breakfast was a very traditional Kyoto fare with a few western options. It was nice that there was chicken and veggie tempura. My family esp loved the green tea latte machine. Nice to have dessert options at breakfast too! The only thing is that menu options are exactly the same everyday. The food for non-asian may be a little too authentic.

Clean room, serviced daily, the cleaning staff are very thorough with replenishing new towels and pajamas! Staff was welcoming, I loved the introvert check-in/out systems! The hotel is near Kyoto station and alot of places around, would stay again!

I enjoyed my stay at JR WEST GROUP VIA INN PRIME KYOTOEKI HACHIJOGUCHI. It's located within a 5-minute from Kyoto Station and has a 7-Eleven which is linked to the main lobby. The main challenge is finding your way out of Kyoto Station which is huge and confusing but no fault of the hotel! :) The room was a good size (not big but comfortable) and had a writing desk which made it easy for me to do my work and have my takeout meals. At the ground floor lift lobby, there's a sort of "buffet table" of daily consumables such as toothbrushes and shavers. The staff were friendly. Checking in and out was easily done at the automated kiosks. I loved the surroundings of the hotel. The area it was located in was safe, clean and quiet. It was easy to walk to the Keihan bus terminal at Avanti Building so that I could buy tickets for and board the airport limousine bus to Kansai International Airport. I would absolutely choose to stay in this hotel again if I were visit Kyoto again.

Was a really great stay. Kind of wish we had slayed there longer. Practically across the road from the train station
