Check in is electronic, easy to use, very quick. Nice but not very friendly luggage storage staff, but super efficient. Room clean, the mattress is too soft for me.

Budget friendly without getting lost.

After my last trip to Kyoto I find it best for new travelers to just stay near the station. That way you can explore to your hearts content without worrying about getting lost. As if you do just hop on any bus and head back to the station and your hotel. So this location hit the mark itโ€™s close to the station and near a 7-11 so getting snacks are convenient. The check in easy and the rooms arenโ€™t the biggest but for t budget friendly option it big enough. Itโ€™s clean and the beds are on platforms allowing us to story luggage under the bed. Would definitely stay again

We stayed in four hotels in Japan and this was by far our least favorite and most expensive (but we loved Kyoto). Be aware that this is an unserviced hotel. So no one came in to clean up, they just put a bag of towels, etc on our door each day. After three days our trash cans were overflowing (pic). We asked the front desk for more water and they refused saying only one bottle per visit, no matter how many days. The room was on the second floor and had a view of nothing but another building (pic). There was a thin door in the wall (fire escape?) that allowed all of the noise from the b1 dining room to come in to the room (pic). They had no coffee or tea service in the lobby/dining, just instant packets in the room. In the morning, the hallway was strewn with trash, laundry, linens, etc.(pic) instead of using maid carts to service each room one at a time. We paid much less in Tokyo, Odawara and shizuoka and got MUCH more. Unless you are a business person looking for a place close to the train station for one night, don't bother... Stay somewhere on the JR line further from the station. You'll spend less and have a better stay.

Very conveniently located a minute walk away from kyoto station. People complain that the hotel is small, but a friendly reminder that youre in japan and not paying much to stay at an APA hotel. It's literally for leaving your luggage, showering, and sleeping. Your day is meant to be spent outdoors exploring or tending to business. For what we paid, it was more than enough, clean, quick check in and out. Rooms were clean and swrvice was good. We tried out a non APA hotel around the same price range in a different city and it was a huge regret.

Small hotel room but convenient

The room was small but clean. The hotel is within walking distance of Kyoto Station so it's very convenient if you want to take an early train out of Kyoto.
