Sand Life - Pelican's Upper Deck!

A real treat to stay in a cottage with private beach access for our guests! Ocean views from every room! Simple 1955 layout-2 bedrooms on each side separated by a bathroom between each. Center common area includes kitchen, dining, & living with access to a large deck! Enjoy the 66 year old character-uneven floors & other quirks in the space. The reason you would rent this home is to spend time at the beach & be conveniently located on the line of KH & Kill Devil Hills -get out & explore the OBX!
The space
This space adopted a Hammerhead Shark - Travel with Purpose when you stay with us and assist in global efforts to help save this beautiful endangered species!
If you are looking for a space for 8 that is walking distance to the beach, you have found it! Climb one flight of stairs and you have reached your space! Large older wooden deck, great for sunbathing, gazing at the Atlantic and soaking up the ocean air! Enter dining/living/kitchen thru sliding door from porch. Living room has a TV with ROKU stick. Bedrooms are located in the four corners of the home with one full bathroom on each side!
All bedrooms have ceiling fans. One side of the house has a king bed in one bedroom and a king bed in the other. Between the two bedrooms accessible from the main living area is a full bathroom with tub/shower combo.
The other side of the house has a queen bed in one bedroom and queen in the other. Between these two bedrooms also accessible from the main living area is a full bathroom with a small standing shower.
Enough parking for 2 vehicles.
If your group is larger then 8 there are two other spaces that are available to be rented separately! Inquire with your host if you are interested in these spaces as well!
Guest access
Everything on the upper level is for your use with the exception of the owners closet!
Other things to note
One bath towel, wash cloth, beach towel, and beach chair provided per person !
Private beach access for all Pelican guests is directly across from driveways.
Nearest public beach access is Arch St.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
Leave in a pile in hamper or bathroom. Start a load of towels if you would like - not a request! Leave beds alone - do not strip!
Remove all trash from house (kitchen, bathroom, etc) place in dumpster outside of house. Make sure all dishes are clean, dry and put away. 
Turn all lights off. Set AC to 74 in summer and Heat to 68 in the winter at departure. Lock all doors & windows at your departure. If a key was used please put it back in lockbox.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

One of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Everything was beautiful inside, the bedrooms were fabulous, the bathrooms, all amenities. Whether it’s four people like us or four couples, it would be highly recommended and you would never regret staying there. Best of the best in many trips to that area. Kudos to the hosttoo. She was amazingly awesome to work with and very helpful in many ways besides our beautiful rental!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite a Tropical Storm rolling through. There were great views of the ocean from the house and everything was easily accessible. The beds were super comfy too! Would so rent again!

Great clean little place!

This was a clean little place. Set up was great for 5 of us...3 adults and 2 kids. Beach chairs and towels included was great plus. Nice new appliances and ample seating. Could've used more hooks or towel bars but minor. Neighbors were quiet and beach access close. Thank you!
