Home away from home

My family and I enjoyed our stay. We spent a lot of time on the beach. It’s so perfect we didn’t want to explore much. Everything we needed for beach was provided. Wish there was a boogie board for the kids but they made due with what they had. The views out of every window were breathtaking. The only thing I’d change is I wish we had more towels in the unit. With 6 of us in there I felt like I was washing towels constantly. The washer and dryer came in super handy with 3 teenage girls. We had a great time here and are already planning our next trip.

Excellent Property

The property provided a wonderful vacation experience for us. Amenities in the room and on the property were excellent. A new 2nd bed, binoculars and larger parking stall would be the only improvements. Overall, highly recommend for an excellent vacation.

perfect family getaway

Our family enjoyed the lagoon, beach and pool on property. Easy walk to nearby resorts, like Marriott, Aulani, and Four Seasons to enjoy other restaurants and amenities. We loved the luau at the Marriott. Very convenient to have laundry and kitchen in unit and spacious lanai to enjoy sunrise and sunset. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were very quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends!

This property has a beautiful ocean view, which we enjoyed daily. The resort pools and lagoons were wonderful. The property itself was becoming very run down and well used. The towels and linens were old and looked and felt like hundreds of people had used them before us. The furniture in the suite was very old - difficult to open dresser drawers, dining room chairs had paint chipping off the wicker, bar stools were very “wobbly”. The shower door in the master bedroom had such a thick film on it that the squeegee could only skim over the scum. The bed in the second bedroom was low to the floor and difficult to get out of. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable. The stove top and oven did not work well and there was not a set of four dishes that matched in all the cupboards. The tephlon on the baking pans and frying pans was peeling off. For what we paid/night for this unit, I would have expected higher quality finishes and better kitchen and cookware. I would never recommend this suite to anyone.

Wonderful stay!!!

This property was perfect for us! It was comfortable, yet felt luxurious. The lanai of this particular unit was cool all throughout the day, without direct sun hitting it. The view was beautiful as we could see the lay out of the pool as well as the ocean. We are beyond thankful to have chosen this property!

Wonderful stay!

This place was perfect for our family! The fridge and pantry were well stocked, the pack n play and high chair were in great shape, and the whole place looked just like the photos. We have stayed at the Beach Villas before and love the resort and everything within walking distance. This is a great unit, would rent again!

Exceeded expectations

We absolutely loved our stay here! The space was perfect for our family of four to enjoy the last leg of our Hawaiian vacation. The condo itself was even more lovely than the listing photos, and the overall property and amenities were just fantastic. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a spectacular “home base” while enjoying Oahu.

Great space

I stayed here with my spouse and in-laws and we had a fantastic time! The space was clean and nicely decorated and had everything we needed. We were able to snorkel in the lagoon associated with the resort and there were a number of restaurants within walking distance. The view from the lanai was beautiful and we enjoyed viewing sunsets from the beach! The location also worked well for checking out other spots on Oahu (North Shore, Pearl Harbor, etc.). Worth noting that there’s not a lot of touristy things that we could see directly outside of the resort area.

Disappointed

We were suppose to have a host greet and meet us that didnt happen, so our family of 5 were scrambling around the place trying to figure out where to park , where and how to get all our stuff up to our room. Parking spot didnt fit our vehicle , assigned an economy when told them our vehicle was a van. The Dinning room chairs were left dirty from the previous renters , left us feeling what else was dirty. maintenance came day 2 of our vacation to fix the AC unit in back bedroom. Management company did satisfy the janitors to clean chairs and maintenance to come replace AC unit in back bedroom in a decent time frame. We will be avoiding the Management company for future rentals. Two other groups of family were with us who received stellar treatment from their room rentals made our party feel low. The room overall was nice, and the resort is well kept up.

Place was beautiful. Well secured. Located between Disney’s Aulani and JW Marriott. Beautiful, clean beach and pools. Very relaxing. Quick response with any questions. All ages but definitely not noisy. Friendly staff. Would stay here again

KoOlina Oasis

My family of 14 stayed for 3 weeks at the KoOlina Beach Villas. The property is amazing with everything we needed. I rented 2 units from property manager Denice Kolodny. I rented a 2 bd, 2 bath (this one) and a 3bd, 3ba. The 2 bedroom was very clean and perfect for our family. The 3 bd was also very clean however, the couch was significantly stained, the master bedroom TV had to be replaced during our stay and the Master bedroom carpet was very dirty. We also had very stained hand and bath towels and no washcloths for bathroom use. We ended up purchasing some at Costco and taking the majority of them home. Also, the booking and payment process was aweful. My payments were not adequetely reflected and VRBO site did not reflect the actual dates I was staying. On top of this it has been almost 2 weeks since we checked out of our Units, and we did not get our deposit back and no explanation. The property manager had indicated we would get our deposit back in a few days. I guess something must have been wrong or that or that taking security deposits with no explanation is a practice of this property manager/owners? This is probably another example of unprofessional communication and is consistent with the negative booking experience. Both of these units were very well stocked with everything needed for the family to enjoy the property, the beaches, and the holidays. I would not rent this property again simply because of the booking, payment and communication around deposit. I can only attribute this to poor property management. We left the units cleaner than we found them and have been rated as 5 star renters at this property in the past so not sure why our deposits were not returned? It's tough to complain about paradise but we did stay a long time and the lack of communication around the deposits are maddening!

Pool rules and property

The kids weren’t happy with the inability to throw a ball or have a place to jump in. It was a beautiful view and the unit was stocked with everything we needed. It was very quiet inside. I wish there was a restaurant or grill for people to order food because the food at the bar was below standard. Overall we enjoyed our time there and would come back.

Beautiful Property!

The property is absolutely stunning. The grounds are very well kept, and the staff is extremely friendly. The unit itself was nice. Clean, and spacious. We did encounter some issues however. First, the listing indicated that the condo can accommodate 6 people. There is one full size bed, a queen bed, and a sofa where the ottoman can be pushed up to it and made into a bed. One of my teenagers had to sleep on that bed, and it was extremely firm and uncomfortable. So it would be pretty tight for 6 adults. The beds in the rooms were extremely comfortable though and the bedding was butter soft. So much so, that I’ve reached out to the property owner twice to figure out what bedding she uses but she still has not responded. The towels seemed a bit old and dingy. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, cups, silverware and such but I found several of the utensils were still dirty, as well as some of the pans. The knives were old and dull, and one of the baking pans was even rusted. The biggest issue was on day two when I had a dishwasher full of dirty dishes to wash but the dishwasher wouldn’t start. I text the property manager right away and she indicated that it was broken and that we should have been notified at check in. We obviously were not. It was extremely inconvenient to be on a family vacation without a functional dishwasher, and not even be notified. The last thing I wanted to do was hand wash dishes for 8 days. So if that’s a big deal to you I would certainly double check to make sure it’s functional prior to booking. I know I may have booked a different unit had I known that was the case.
