Not what we were expecting. Casino and rooms extremely outdated. Temperature in room was cold and thermostat didn’t seem to work. Hot water for shower did not work so we ended up taking luke warm showers.

Unusual place. Making guests wait on a security check point to come in to the hotel left me with a bad feeling. I have stayed at the larger CT casinos and never had to do that so I was a bit put off. When I checked in I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and the size of the room. But, shortly after I fell asleep the fire alarms started going off. There were no announcements made and guests like myself gathered in the hall unsure what to do. After five minutes we decided to go down to the lobby. The elevators were still working and the alarms stopped. Again, no announcement. When we got to the lobby, we had to go to the desk to inquire about the alams and the woman barely looked up as she said "it happens all the time. Someone was probably smoking in their room." We had to ask if we could go back up and were met with a "Sure." Very troubling experience.

The room was clean however the shower was not great and looked dirty but we believe it was clean. Took a little long for service to come in the restaurant. Check in and check out were smooth and the staff was polite and welcoming.

Desk Staff are friendly, security guards are alright. Hotel used to be the Marriott- which was not 5 star but, a decent location. Parking lot is full of trash (broken glass, cups, food waste, needles) and sketchy people standing around/hanging out in their cars, makes you wonder if your vehicle will be stolen in the night. Inside front lobby is clean once you get past the security guards. Elevator is okay, a little slow but at least it doesn’t smell of pee or puke. Rooms are clean but, dated & hasn’t been changed since it was the Marriott 10+ years ago. Bottom line: For the price I paid for 2 nights I should have gone to Danfords down port or somewhere else. Location was chosen for its access to 495.
