Broad Ripple bungalow was welcoming and cozy, warm and inviting. The beds and pillows were quite comfortable. The home was well equiped with everything needs for a short stay.

What an absolutely adorable place to stay! Comfortable beds and couch, nice screened in patio, well stocked, and excellent location! We enjoyed using the bike path and eating at nearby local restaurants. The house was nicely kept, the communication of owners was perfect, and the street and neighborhood is so charming. We plan to stay here again for our next Indianapolis trip!

The property is beautifully restored and in an interesting setting, nestled off of busy streets. It's close to the White River and has easy access to the Monon Trail.

Needs work

The communication was great. We were disappointed there was not a washed and dryer, we assumed because this is a VRBO house it included a washer and dryer. Granted I made an assumption but we were here for 10 days for softball, clearly in need of a washer and a dryer. In addition, we had 2 people staying 10 days and were given 4 bath towels, 5 wash clothes and 2 hand towels. This is an unreasonable amount based on duration of stay. The owners did respond quickly and delivered additional towels. The bathroom in the “master” was in awful shape and looked dirty. It may have been clean but it looked dirty because of the grout issues. We also spilled water on the kitchen floor, while cleaning it up, the paper towel I used was really dirty which made me feel like the floor was not clean. Last few things, the outside of the house needed attention. There were spider webs all over and the sitting area couldn’t be used because of the pile of dead branches that needed to be cleared. The area was great, the house was cute, the owners were responsive but the house could be so much better with attention to the bathroom and exterior, and the addition of a washer and dryer.

A quick trip to Indianapolis

The inside of the house was clean and well-kept, which we really appreciated! Communication with the host was great, and we all loved the comfortable, big beds. However, the outside felt like an afterthought. There were quite a few (large) cobwebs, fallen branches scattered around, and it just felt generally unkept, which made us hesitant to let the kids play outside.

Cottage in the woods

A friend and I attended a virtual conference and decided to stay here so we could focus. It was perfect! Nestled in the words, surrounded by trees and birds and nice and quiet. Wonderful morning walks along the Monon trail. Broad Ripple is super cute and only a short walk away. The only issue was that something in the house (didn’t have it when I left the house) triggered allergies for both of us, so we ended up buying anti-histamines and then were ok.

Awesome Stay!

Wild how secluded the area felt. Went from driving busy highways to what felt like a small neighborhood in seconds. Close enough to the concert venue and several other stores and places to eat. Everyone loved it.

Wonderful stay!

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay! The home is clean with everything you would need provided. We loved how safe the neighborhood was with easy access to the Monon. Lots of fun coffee shops and places to eat with in walking distance. Thank you for allowing us to stay in yoir home.

Mold Alert

I messaged the manager before booking asking if they ever had a mold/mildew issue because I noticed this was an older home. This is something I do all the time because of my severe allergy to it. I explained that I can detect it even when others can't. They told me "no mold". Upon check in I immediately started having an allergy attack, itchy eyes and throat feeling funny. I smelled a strong bleach smell, and cleaner smell. We left for benadryl. The main shower needs repair, it's horrible looking and I imagine was super bleached, dirty, missing grout. The house sits on a basement close to the water. I then knew for sure there had to be mold in the locked basement. I again messaged the owner saying "hey I asked about mold, you said no but I'm reacting to it for sure!" They then told me they were told the issue was cleared/cleaned! If they had been honest from the beginning I wouldn't have booked because even when it's "cleaned" it's not gone! My allergy is so severe I would have ended up in the hospital. I couldn't be in the house for more than 2 minutes without feeling it and I was only in a total of maybe 5 mins at 3 different times during the day. Check in, drop off groceries and pack up. I stayed in the car when my husband packed up. This caused us so much unnecessary headache having to find a new place last minute on a really busy weekend in town at 9pm at night! We booked this one over 2 months in advance! We went to a hotel. Honesty would have prevented all this!

Perfect for our holiday visit!
