A great place for end-of-summer family vacation!

This house was perfect for our family. The upstairs floor was the perfect place for the teens to have their own space - bedroom that sleeps 4 in beds, a bathroom, a separate sink and a huge gathering/game room/hang out room. It was an easy 5 minute walk to the beach but we mostly drove to take all our beach stuff. The beach was not crowded and parking was plentiful. The pool was visible from the house and was about a 3 minute walk and was very clean. I had a few questions about the house when we got there and the apartment manager was very quick to respond and take care of a couple of issues. The one thing I would recommend you pack is Deep Woods Off with deet! The mosquitos were huge and relentless! They were the main reason we drove to the beach. I did bring citronella canisters based on previous guest experience with the mosquitos. We lit them in the morning on the deck picnic table and we were able to sit out there comfortably. This was the perfect place for us and we would definitely stay there again!

A great spot

Beautiful home, very clean and well stocked. The neighborhood felt safe and was quiet. The beach is a short drive and the pool is a short walk. The owners were very communicative when we discovered the pool fob wasn't working, fortunately we were able to access the pool with no issues. My only concern was air flow. The AC worked great in the house but the front bedroom felt warm. They provided a fan for the room but it was still warm and a tad uncomfortable for sleeping. The ceiling fan didn't seem to be working on all speeds. This was personal preference and shouldn't detract from other's decision to stay. Overall a wonderful home and we would stay again. The price was very reasonable and the location on the island was great! Not crowded at all. It was well stocked with cleaning supplies, dishes, utensils, games, books, appliances, etc. but bring cooking/pantry items for your stay.

Wonderful weekend for Granna

We had an awesome time at the house. It's got the bay on one side and beach on the other. The beach wasn't very crowded and we just drove right up on the sand and backed in to unpack right there. There was plenty of space at the house. We did some puzzles, played foosball, cooked, and the kids played hide and seek. The adults enjoyed the comfy beds and lounging. It is a bit far from the town but since we cooked, that wasn't too big of an issue. The only negative from our stay was the mosquito hoard, but that's not a house thing. They recently had a lot of rain and the mosquito population was thriving. During the day on the beach it wasn't bad but at night, we couldn't enjoy the decks. It's something we will think about for our next trip, though, and bring one of those devices that we can set on the porch to keep them away. We'd definitely come back here again, even without the cousins. It was great. If you're looking for tranquility, beach, privacy, respite time, this is a perfect spot!

Family time

Lovely home and very comfortable. Lots of space to spread out and relax. Beautiful neighborhood and homes. Very close to the beach entrance (under 2 min. drive) and has a view of bay. We didn't take advantage of pool but very close to house. We all enjoyed the weekend, very special!

Three night stay in May

We had a nice 3-night stay here. The location was about as equally close to the pool as the beach as possible. We thought the walk to the beach would be longer, but it was short and easy. We had lots of snacks on the covered patio area. Our children were a big fan of the "kids only" area on the second floor with the foosball table and TV. The ceiling fans throughout the house were quiet and very effective. There are lots of board games and DVDs in the laundry room/pantry which was unexpected. There is also a small snow cone machine which prompted a trip to Walmart for snow cone syrup. It did seem to us like the bed in the primary bedroom was smaller than the bed in the secondary bedroom. The showers had great water pressure. It took us a while to find cleaning supplies in the laundry room/pantry as opposed to under the kitchen sink. The kitchen had a ton of dishes for inside and out. There were lots of pans and bowls. On the flip side, there weren't that many cooking supplies. There were two K-cups and a couple of spices and some Pam. Every time I reached out with a question, the property owners were quick to respond and be very helpful. We would stay again.
