Fantastic room in the castle . Bar area in the evening lacked ambience. Given poor table for 65th birthday celebration at dinner but this was changed. I don’t think 4 mouthfuls of duck terrine starter is worth £18 although it was tasty. .

The staff were amazing, the room was lovely, as well as very clean. The bed was really comfy and there plenty of great pillows. The shower was so powerful, i didn't want to get out. Room was great, modern bathroom too for an old hotel. The spa area was a bit disappointing though, the whole area was chilly and the sauna & steam room were both very cold.
