I asked if we could store our baggage before checkin and was told yes by the owner/property manager. I arrived to the door unlocked. I locked it before leaving our baggage. We returned later after checkin and the apartment not been cleaned from the previous renter. I called the mgr and was told the cleaners couldn’t get in because I locked the door. She proceeded to blame me even though I explained that we would never leave our belongings in an unlocked apartment and I would have made other arrangements to store our luggage if she had told me to leave the door unlocked. It is unbelievable to me that her cleaners would not have a way to get in. She uses an actual key, not a keypad for access. So we had to clean our own sheets and towels. We only stayed because we returned late and didn’t have an alternative. There were no window coverings at all and no privacy. One room had blood on the mattress pad and the other room had a makeshift AC that fit through a cardboard hole in the window. It had a bucket in the room to collect condensate that was completely full of water when we arrived. GROSS. This is described as a luxury apartment. Absolutely no way. I have photos of the blood stains and water bucket.
