Excellent location and very basic and functional amenities. Accommodating staff. Easy tram #2 and 12 to the hub/Central Station. Museum Quarter within very short walking distance. Highly recommended if your expectations aren’t 5* Rooms very cozily small with little space to spread or store your stuff. Still it’s very nice and quiet.

Great location in museum quarter. Attentive staff in breakfast area. Close to trams heading to focal point at Central Station. Accommodating front desk staff. Safe and pleasant surroundings with grade school children playing at recess around the area between the buildings. No issues in recommending this hotel to anyone not looking for 5*.

My mum and I love this hotel. The staff is very kind and so friendly. The room is clean and very welcoming; and we slept so nicely surrounded by Van Gogh sunflower on the wall 🙂 We had breakfast the following day and i really liked the cappuccino and croissant. I 100% recommended this hotel and for sure I will go back.

The van gogh is easy to access by public transportation and can access so much of the city from it's front door. Right in the heart of the museum district with a very short walk to that part of the city. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the room , while small,had everything we needed and more the balcony being an added bonus.

The hotel is 5 minutes to its namesake, Van Gogh. Tram is around the corner. Dead quiet unless the school across the pedestrian only road is on recess in the afternoon. Super area. No parking nearby that I am aware of. Plenty of good food nearby.

Great price vs location value

It is a great hotel with great location vs price value. Easy to access for transport and walking distance from most of the places. Very recommended to stay. Ofc there are some lacking comforts but as mentioned, for the price vs value, it is really good.

Stinky room

Location is great. But there was a mysterious smell of garbage permeating our room that never was resolved. And hideous stained carpeting in room and hallway. Front desk staff were mostly helpful.

Igor and George were the best, great customer service. It was warm in our room like the AC couldn't keep up, but we were able to get a fan. Great breakfast, comfy beds, in room coffee was delicious. Super easy to get everywhere. We would absolutely come back if we were in Amsterdam again!
