Igor and George were the best, great customer service. It was warm in our room like the AC couldn't keep up, but we were able to get a fan. Great breakfast, comfy beds, in room coffee was delicious. Super easy to get everywhere. We would absolutely come back if we were in Amsterdam again!

Great location close to Amsterdam central & to all the major museums. The tram and bus are just a 5-minute walk away from the hotel. Area was very safe and it's just opposite the Van Gogh Museum. Staff was friendly and always ready to help. The toilet has been newly renovated but the room looked a little tired. All in all, it was a good stay.

This place was great for my daughter and I to explore amsterdam. Short walk to our favorite museums. Close to the park to go for a run or stroll. Close to canal tours and the Hard Rock Cafe. It was perfect for our trip. The hotel itself was quiet with no interruptions in sleep. The tap water was tasty and was how we filled our water bottles every day. The morning breakfast is a little overpriced for what you get, but not too unreasonable.

This is a convenient, safe and quiet hotel in the museum district. We would 100% stay there again. There are so many restaurants and stores all within a 5 to 10 minute walk. This is one of the nicest places we've stayed.

It is a convenient location like the reviews say! We were excited when we got there, but we didn't feel the staff were pleasant or warm when we arrived. It felt more like we were a problem to them because they had to work on checking us in. They weren't entirely rude, but you could tell they weren't happy to help. Our first room, was upstairs on the 4th floor. As soon as we walked in it smelled BAD. We don't know what it was but we suspected it was mold - being that the roof is directly above its ceiling. Called the front desk and she noted she's busy with a guest and doesn't know when she can come - really sounded like she didn't want to bother. While we waited, we sat there googling about this hotel and sure enough there were Google reviews which said AVOID the 4th floor! Thankfully the staff came after 15 minutes and claimed they couldn't smell anything, though the smell was VERY evident. We were happy to have been given a room downstairs (last one available) on the ground floor. We could tell it hasn't been vacuumed during the 3 days we were there, but at least we got room service, and we didn't have to bother the staff for anything. We got through it and moved on to the next part of our trip. It was a disappointing experience.

Lack of service, but pretty art & clean hotel.

The place looked nice and we loved seeing Van Gogh’s art everywhere. Both of my kids became very congested in the room, and one of them could not breathe well enough to sleep. I gave her some medicine and it barely helped. She was okay before we went to the Van Gogh Hotel. I ended up having to ask a friend if she could stay with them at a different hotel, where she managed to breathe and sleep just fine. I talked to the front desk, but the agent there just kept telling me “I don’t know” and that management is off on the weekend. She suggested I email them and she would forward the email to management. I did. I never heard back from anyone.
