Overall, excellent experience

Just overall a very good stay. Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Even though the hotel is old they really worked to keep it in excellent condition. Would definitely stay here next year when I come back

This room was very strange. The location is amazing. I booked it because it has an elevator. My husband has mobility issues. I did not expect the room would be on the 4th floor, then up a small landing - which is all OK, then we open the door and it's a ladder up into a room. It has obviously been renovated many times. The carpet is gross, the bathtub was lovely but the shower was just a nozzle out of the ceiling and water went everywhere. The room was damp so windows had to be open and it was noisy almost 24 hours a day. The bedding was very basic and cheap. I felt like it was not very clean or sophisticated. It was sure an interesting experience!

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my stay at Hotel de Koopermoolen. The staff are very friendly. The area is right near the red light district, which is a busy and noisy part of downtown Amsterdam, but we had zero noise in our room. You have to leave your room key with the front staff whenever you leave, but it's not a problem because it is staffed 24/7. The breakfast was also decent. The man who cooks the eggs knows what he is doing. It's about a 5m walk from Centraal station, so it's easy to get around anywhere in the Netherlands. Would definitely stay again.

The staff was friendly and personable. The location was minutes walking from a wide variety of restaurants and bars, and the central train station. Everyone speaks English so don’t be worried about that. Communication is easy. Get a chocolate covered waffle. You won’t be disappointed. But be ready for trash bags in the streets each morning.

Perfect location only 5 minutes from the Main, Amsterdam Central train station that has direct Eurostar travel to London St Pancras! Perfect for Zandvoort Grand Prix connections (30minute transfer) ready for 2026 F1 Grand Prix on 21st -23rd August.

I liked the area but we couldn't get our twins beds room, we ended up upgrading with £60 to get a studio flat, which had 40 steps to reach, was better but no TV. anyway I would not book the hotel again. Thank you

This little hotel worked wonderfully for me for the night. The staff are excellent and very kind! My room was small but worked for just me… it was just extraordinarily hot and could have used some sort of ventilation to move air. The window faced an ally with no air movement at all. Tv worked great hung above the bed and overall it was a lovely stay!
