"The Gateway Hotel in Ames was a delightful surprise. The property was spotless, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the room was spacious. The restaurant was conveniently located and offered an à la carte option on weekdays. However, it’s best to come in a relaxed mood, as it can be a bit overwhelming. On weekends, they have a buffet available. We’ve stayed at four different hotels in Ames, and without a doubt, we’ll be returning to the Gateway Hotel in the future."
