"Location of the Clarendon is a 15 minute bus ride from the 02. Bus stop directly outside, with frequent arrival and departure 24 hours. Arriving at the hotel we was able to park in the hotel parking to the rear with pleanty of spaces. 1st impressions of the hotel did not dissapoint as we was greeted with a clean spacious lobby and very well presented, smiling receptionist. Room was very big, overlooking the front of the hotel and Blackheath Green on the 2nd floor. Though there is a busy road to the front this at no point caused any discomfort with traffic noise. The room again was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Though the bedroom was larger than expected the bathroom was lacking size wise as it was very small but adequate and again spotless. Our room was cleaned after 1 night which we didnt expect and was happy about. All staff are professional, courteous and well presented and plentifull without being over bearing. Having arrived late evening and a long drive we made use of the games bar which again was very pleasant and not overpriced. Breakfast was included in our booking and it again was plentiful, fresh and constantly replenished. We are early birds so tend to be at breakfast 1st thing though we did notice on both mornings that after an hour there tends to be a queue and very busy waiting for a free table even though the dining area is quite big. Train station direct to central London is a leisurely 10 minute walk through Blackheath Village."
