"First time at hotel ,it is beautiful, the staff ,hotel , area ,the rooms. The staff go beyond & aboveto help you. Can not fault one thing ,will be back .The food in the restaurant was exceptional 😋. Thank you to all the staff ."

"There is no signs so you need to ask to check in at bar and no parking, there is parking in the pub down the bottom but be careful on the street outside due to tickets. You need to go through the staff only back bit that leads to very narrow stairs, there is no disabled access that I could see. Once in the room it was small and quaint, lots of tea, coffee and biscuits placed in the bedroom but a lot of it was out of date, i had to ask for remote as it wasn't in bedroom and can be quite loud downstairs, bed sheets were dirty and so was one of the towels in the bedroom. There was no handwash in the bathroom but free shampoo etc and turning on light and flushing toilet is extremely noisy. Being so close to the river is lovely and the high street but leaving is through the back or front (we chose the back as the pub was quite full) we were told we could have a takeaway in our rooms but was not allowed any plates or bowls and was given just forks and knives and was not offered to sit anywhere downstairs to eat it. The window kept us awake all night rattling as it doesn't seem to fit properly although the character of the bedroom is quitd sweet. "

"The sheets were clean, the bed was comfortable, the TV worked, the shower head and toilet bowl were dirty. Both these things ought to be spotless in a hotel, if they have cleaners then they are not doing their job properly!! The room was set for one person when the booking stated 2. We asked for another mug but didn’t realise about just one large towel until we had a shower and at that point just shared as unable to contact the desk unless we walked over to them. The price was cheap but even so cleanliness should still be a high priority. I would stay there again as when your budget is low there aren’t too many choices. "
