"The Yurt itself was great. Fun space. Traveler advisory- the Yurt is situated next to a a busy road. The noise died down by 10pm but expect an early wake up (6am) when cars and trucks and motorcycles pass by. Bring an eye mask- it’s very bright once the sun comes up. We didn’t notice noise during the night . There is a sound machine and we also brought one. Ear plugs were provided! Otherwise great location - near Lurray and Shenandoah national park."

"The cabin has a beautiful view of the mountains from the front porch, so it’s tempting just to sit there and enjoy it. The cabin is perfectly located for exploring the Shenandoah valley, Skyline Drive, etc. The Thornton Gap entrance to Skyline Drive is nearby and there are a lot of great hikes within easy reach. This was our second visit to Hawksbill Retreat, and we’ll likely return. Everything was exactly as advertised and the whole process was easy."

"The cabin was absolutely beautiful. Check in instructions were very clear and we had no issues! Comfy bed, spacious shower, clean hot tub, full kitchen, fireplace outside and electric fireplace inside. The property owner stopped by to help us with some pestering hornets and was so nice!! We enjoyed a full day on the property sitting outside on the porch swing overlooking the mountains for hours. This spot now holds a special place in our hearts as we got engaged here. We will 100% be returning to this property. "

"This place is perfect to stay and relax. A dual headed shower was perfect to rinse off after the hot tub! It was very private and quiet. I loved the electric fireplace as well. "
