"It was PERFECT. I hesitated a lot because of the reviews but decided to stay because we were staying just for one night. We stayed in the room with two beds and it was renovated with nice bathroom tiles and modern mirror. There was a picture of the pool but no description of the pool as an amenity but I was presently surprised that pool is there and open from 9 am-10 pm. It was so beautiful and peaceful surrounded by mountains. There’s a vending machine and 24/7 coffee and tea in the lobby. Muffins and granola bars for breakfast. No roaches or bugs, everything was clean "

"This is an older motel that when speaking with the lady at the desk said was just acquired by a new owner last fall. They have done a lot of work to the rooms and exterior of the building with all new everything in the rooms. It is an older place but it being brought up to modern standards and amenities. They are still in the process of getting their vintage sign restored and a few exterior upgrades but I would highly recommend. Has the potential to be one of the nicest motels in the Luray area. "

"It was a great stay, lovely property with gorgeous views of the surrounding fields, amazing sunset views from the front porch, and not a neighbor in sight. The hot tub and fire ring were welcome features to end our days with. Proximity to main roads, Luray Caverns, and Shenandoah was a huge plus. Rating 5 stars because everything was exactly as advertised and the property was very clean with updated fixtures. We could have done with a more comfy couch and maybe a smart tv, but understand rural internet can be challenging. Thanks for the great stay!"

"Visited the farmhouse last weekend with my mother, husband, sister-in-law and two dogs. The main purpose of the trip was just to have a little getaway to do something with Mom at a location where our 14 month old Australian Shepherd would have plenty of room to run around. We all had a wonderful time, especially our pup, who played to her heart’s content. Communication with the host was outstanding! And the inside of the house was immaculately clean. While we enjoyed having 16 acres available to us, it is worth noting that the majority of the property is wooded with a lot of tall grass and at the time of year we were traveling ticks were a huge issue. So unfortunately, after pulling a bunch of ticks off of ourselves and our dogs, we really limited ourselves to the front yard, which was more than adequate. Of course the tick situation was no one‘s fault. Nature is nature. It’s just worth noting, and during other months of the year would not be a concern at all. I might even consider returning in the winter to enjoy the fire pits and snowy trails with the dog."
