The Walper Hotel, part of JdV by Hyatt
"We only stayed one night, and arrived late in the afternoon. The first thing I noticed: the walls in our room (with 2 queen beds) were so uniquely decorated; I really enjoyed the artistic touch! On the "meh" side: the bathroom fixtures could have used a little bit more polish. I also didn't quite like how a gentleman at the front desk ran out the door to double-check that I had a right to park in their reserved parking: he could have checked the ticket details clearly visible The following morning, we visited the lounge on the 2nd floor and we were thrilled with the artistic design of the many little sitting spaces within the lounge. The paintings and their placements and the furniture: very chic! The icing on the cake: we went to the restaurant (within the hotel) for breakfast and we were warmly welcomed by a lady whose first name starts with J (it may have been Jody or Jolena). She was delightful and very kind! A real treat! Overall, I really wish there were more affordable boutique-style hotels like this! I really enjoyed it!"
