The Cliff Hotel
"Excellent location. Top floor has a lovely sea and beach view. Reception were friendly and booking in easy. The choice of breakfast was excellent as were the breakfast staff. The only downside was that I booked during the heatwave and there’s no air conditioning in the room. A fan is provided-but ..."

The Westleton Crown
"We stayed one night, myself and my two teenage children in the family suite. It was a gem of a hotel. Clean, very nicely decorated. Great bedroom and bathroom. Really comfy bed (and I am very fussy). Beautiful towels and toiletries. Nice food in the evening, fabulous breakfast. We didn’t make it ..."

Eastwood Lodge
"It is not a hotel. It is a farmhouse converted into self-contained units, each with own bathroom. Rooms have fridge, microwave, toaster, cutlery and crockery. Linen and towels are provided but no food option - bring your own. A very good idea for a buget option in an expensive area. Plenty of parking ..."

Wherry Hotel
"We recently stayed in a king room overlooking the water and it was wonderful. The room and bathroom were both spotless . It was the hottest day of the year so the windows were already open before we got there along with a fan that I requested so the room was at a sleepable temperature. Breakfast ..."

Best Western The Hatfield Hotel
"Upon arrival, we discovered that our room had two single beds pushed together rather than the double bed advertised. Given the record-breaking temperatures over the bank holiday, the climate in the room was exceptionally hot. We discovered that one of the radiators was on full blast and with no control ..."

The Ship at Dunwich
"The Ship at Dunwich is ideally situated, just a very short walk from the shingle beach, making it a perfect base for exploring this atmospheric stretch of the Suffolk coast. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay, and were also extremely knowledgeable about the local area, offering helpful advice on walks and places to visit. Our room was compact, but comfortable, with a very good bed and a surprisingly spacious en suite. The hotel has a relaxed, characterful feel and works especially well as a starting point for some excellent coastal and countryside walks. It’s perfectly possible to walk along the shingle beach towards Walberswick and on to Southwold, while the Sandlings Walk offers a different but equally rewarding route along the eroding cliffs, through dense woodland and past the remarkable ruins of Greyfriars Priory. A lovely place to stay if you want comfort, warmth and easy access to one of the most distinctive landscapes on the Suffolk coast."
