Our stay was enjoyable and very relaxing. Great views from the house and hot tub. Hosts are extremely responsive. I would recommend the cabin, but not for a winter stay due to the temperature control issues we had. Spring/summer/fall would likely be great here.Highlights:The hot tub was great. The kitchen was fully equipped. The driveway was well-maintained quickly after a snow storm. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful, even though our stay coincided with the Christmas holiday.General Notes:To provide a complete picture, there were a few minor challenges we encountered:Climate Control: When outside temperatures dropped below -10C, the house's heating system struggled to maintain a consistent interior temperature of 20C (68F). Overnight the house would drop by 2C/3C(depending on the outside temp), so the house was cold in the mornings. The heat distribution was uneven. The room near the propane heater would be 20C, but the dinning area would only be 15C. It took the entirety of our stay for the house to balance in temperature.Cleanliness: While the house comes with a fully stocked kitchen, not a single dish was clean. The dishes either had hardened food or were sticky.The rest of the house and hot tub were clean. Trash: Guests are required to dispose of trash at the land fill near by. This is a minor inconvenience that could become a large one. The landfill is only open 2 days/wk. Neither of which aligned with our last day, so we had to go elsewhere.

This was our 4th stay at Preben and Christina's place. The cottage and the location are great and offer everything we could want for our stay. We even caught dinner from the dock! They listened to our feedback from other years and added a small fridge and freezer in addition to the main fridge/freezer making enough room for all our groceries and saving us many small trips to town. Thanks again for sharing your space with us.

Amazing Cabin

Overall it was amazing. Unfortunately we arrived when it was a little cold so the fishing was not great. As for the cabin it more than we expected. Hot tub was very nice and the living area was astounding, especially the lake view. Other than the grocery being far away, everything else was good. Communication with the host was also on point.

Peaceful and scenic

We stayed at Christina and Preben’s for just one night, I wish we booked a longer stay. Everything was clean, and comfortable. The location is off the main road which is convenient, but feels further out in how quiet and peaceful the area is. Christina and Preben are role model hosts and were lovely to correspond with. I hope to come back!

Peaceful!!!

Everything about this property was amazing!!! The hosts were very quick to respond to a tiny issue we had at the start of our trip about wifi other then that we had zero issues! The cottage and apartment were exactly as shown in the pictures and in immaculate condition. The hot tub was a hit in the evenings as it was cooler out. The garbage dump and boat launch are only a few minutes away. Very convenient we didn’t have far to go! However, one downfall for me personally the beds are to hard but that is preference and nothing at all against the AMAZING time our family had!! We will most definitely be back! Thank you Preben and Christina!!! 🌻💗

Beautiful cottage in great location

Stayed for a week in August with the family and had a great time. The cottage is beautiful and very clean, with every convenience you'd need. It's a quiet location at the end of a small lake (in a larger chain of lakes) We enjoyed plenty of relaxation by the water, swimming, paddling and fishing. Bonus was the high speed internet with TV (so we could catch some of the summer olympics while there) - and of course the hot tub. Preben and Christina were very responsive to the few questions we had. Would definitely come back.

Exceeded Our Expectations!

Our stay at this amazing cottage was picture-perfect! Firstly, the responses by the hosts, Christina and Preban, were very much appreciated - responses to our questions were quick and so detailed! I had no doubt what to expect and we were able to plan for a wonderful vacation. The property was in excellent condition, inside and out. Everything was very clean. We appreciated the hot tub which was well-maintained and we did our job to continue to apply the necessary chemicals. We really appreciated the bug screen on the gazebo (bugs in May can be overwhelming but as regular campers, we were not discouraged to enjoy the outdoors). The dock was an amazing place to enjoy the hot weather (and some recreational fishing) and the kayaks were in excellent condition. The firepit was well-equipped with great seating and gave us an opportunity to enjoy the cottage nightlife outdoors. The cottage was stocked with everything you would commonly need, inside and out, for a stress-free stay. The TV streaming was not used much because the weather was so perfect but having the choice for a rainy/cold day would be nice. Internet wifi was very strong everywhere on the property. We have already told many friends and family about the place and look forward to the next opportunity to stay and bring some additional guests with us and use the loft. Thanks again, Christina and Preban - we love your place!

Cozy, excellent view and HOTTUB!!!!

The place was easy to get to. Right off the main road. As we walked in the door we were greated with a stunning view of the lake accross the open concept main floor. We immediately knew that our stay was going to be excellent! The windows in the living room overlook the beautiful lake. There's a hottub off the kitchen we used every day! The exposed rock in the master bedroom was a neat feature. This place is at the top of our list for places we would revisit!!!

Beautiful fall colours

We stayed here for the first week of October. Three or four connected lakes with around 100 cottages. We only saw a few people and two boaters. It was very peaceful. Cottage is modern and well stocked with all the conveniences.

Golden Valley September to Remember

Enjoyed beautiful late summer weather for 4 nights at Preben and Christina's cottage. Everything you need to enjoy the beautiful area is provided including fire pit with wood, fishing kayaks, BBQ and large stocked kitchen. Excellent value considering the size of the cottage and amenities.

2nd Stay Just As Great As The First

This is our second year staying at Preben & Christina's property and we have already booked for next summer. The cottage has all the comfort features of home but placed near the first nd of a quiet scenic lake. Beautiful cottage

The cottage was beautiful. Had all the modern amenities, was big and comfortable. There were a few very hot days (90+) so AC would have been nice. Lake was beautiful and the hot tub was a nice treat!
