"We arrived at the Countryside Inn during designated checkin times. No one was there to check us in. I tried calling the phone number listed but no one answered and it went to voice mail which I could not leave as the mailbox was full. We waited around a half hour for someone to show up and then decided to visit our friends who live right behind the motel. After an hour we went back to the motel and someone was finally there. I opened the door to the office and I have never seen a bigger mess and there was a definite odor that was not pleasant. Even though our reservation was made more than a month prior, they had no room for us and "upgraded" our room at their other property the Cedars Motel in town. Let me tell you it was no upgrade. The carpet was disgusting, stains and it was loose and pulled up. The refrigerator was open and not turned on as you would expect. The bathroom door would not close and the water temperature in the shower could not be adjusted as the deverter valve was frozen in place. The three nights that we stayed there the room was never serviced and we never saw an employee at all."
