We have come to this resort many times but it seems to be getting less desirable to come. They kicked kids and teenagers out of the indoor pool last night. I can understand kicking them out of the indoor spa itself for the adults but not the pool. So if it rains hard, the kids must be swimming outside? That’s not family friendly. They also took a long time to provide pool towels and bath robes.

We were upgraded to a massive room on the top floor with 2 balconies and views of the lake. It's sad that the Tesla destination chargers have been replaced with Chargepoint chargers that cost $0.27/ minute. They're only for hotel use. Needless to say, at that price, nobody was using them. Such a waste.

I was really looking forward to the indoor quiet area, but it was extremely disappointing. Instead of being a space to relax, it was full of shouting, diving, and kids jumping into the pool, with no staff stepping in to enforce the rules. When I mentioned this to reception, I was told there was nothing they could do — which is unacceptable. Check-in was another major letdown. Despite a 4pm check-in time, my room wasn’t ready until almost 7pm, yet check-out was still strictly enforced at 11am. Losing that much time is simply not fair to paying guests. While I appreciated the apology and breakfast voucher, it doesn’t excuse the lack of preparation or accountability. Management really needs to ensure the quiet area is properly monitored and that rooms are ready on time, or at minimum offer late check-out when delays happen. Without these improvements, it’s hard to justify returning.

We stayed in the original hotel. Clean, but very old. The carpets are ancient and the place is shabby chic. The pools are great. The bar is great. The hotel needs to spend a bit of money freshening up this grand old lady. But, great value.
