The New Otani is a great hotel. We had a beautiful view overlooking the garden. The room itself was well appointed. The staff and facilities were top notch. We had adjoining rooms and as a result were forced to have all single beds-but that wasnt a big deal. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel for easy access to the sites of Tokyo! Small complaints: While there are a LOT of dining options, a couple of them were 'richly' priced. While the meal I had was good-it was the only time in Japan I felt like I overpaid for what I got. I guess my only other small gripe- 'Resort Fees'. I can see the argument for why they charge it...but I really wish those were incorporated into the pricing of the room so you have a better sense of the total cost when booking.

The garden is incredibly maintained and beautiful! We enjoyed our stay with a nice view of the city (it says garden view but we were on the 33rd floor and it was hard to see the garden from where we were as it was right under us). Still a lovely stay, housekeeping was very good at keeping our room clean, lots of amenities, spacious rooms. Like some have mentioned it is a bit dated and needs a refresh look but in terms of accomodation and practicality, it's definitely what my husband and I were looking for

The room size was good. Products in room were good. The area around the hotel, park, waterfall was beautiful. Front office staff did not speak good English. Bathroom was bit dated. This was my second time at this property and I still love it. they have upgraded the tower rooms and they have good views. last time i stayed in the Main and had a garden view. walking distants to many food spots as well as the train.
