The property itself is beautiful and comfortable, and otherwise we really enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, an issue with the showers ultimately caused us to leave five nights early.
The water temperature would not remain consistent regardless of where the controls were set. During the same short shower, it would fluctuate from freezing cold to scalding hot without warning. All three of us experienced this, and we did not feel we could safely continue using the showers.
What was particularly disappointing was the communication. The host had been extremely responsive until we actually needed assistance. They had told me to reach out if we needed anything, so I asked if someone could look at the water heater and received no response.
We ultimately moved to another accommodation. I then sent a polite message explaining the situation and asking them to consider refunding the five unused nights. That message also received no response.
I would have rated this property very highly otherwise. Had the shower issue been addressed, or even acknowledged, our experience would have been completely different.
