We enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately our Room 31 was a bit smelly. It was very clean. I don’t know if it was the ventilation or the fact that the hotel is old. All the staff were friendly and the room was comfortable.

Check in was difficult as we arrived early and there is no one there until three to check in. Wasn’t a major issue but as the hotel is a pub first and hotel second was difficult to get new towels and shampoo etc. however was clean room and staff did respond to any issues. Location is amazing and overall was a good place to stay

Great location, comfy bed, good sized room and very clean but too noisy ; super loud from street and road noise all night and shower took ten minutes to get hot! Overall I would not stay again as I'm a light sleeper.

Room was on 4th floor and there was traffic noise, mainly sirens, which was to be expected given city centre location. We had a private bathroom which made it.all the more convenient. Hot water took a long time to come through but this was shown.on signs so you were.aware.on arrival. Would stay again. Less than a block to Wynyard Station.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the bed and cleanliness of the room. The shower took 10mins to warm up. There was signage to flag this which was appreciated. I would stay here again.

I'm sorry to say, but the room was dirty and did smell like cigarettes, what I hare. When we talked to manager about it he said it's a 'hotel smell'.

The staff member who checked us out was very helpful, the rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Thought I’d find a shared bathroom challenging but it wasn’t an issue at all
