Such a cute and quaint place to stay, my daughter and I just needed an overnight but I wish that we were able to stay a little longer in this cute space. Very clean well decorated the only thing I wasn’t sure of was how to make a tea because I couldn’t find a kettle But otherwise everything was great. We also landed late and I had received a call while I was flying, and because they couldn’t reach me, they sent me a text on how to get in after hours, which was perfect. Super close to the train station and walking distance to a lot of our favourite things that we needed to do down in Sydney.

Really loved my stay here – cosy, quiet, and full of charm since it’s in a heritage building. The staff were super friendly, breakfast was included (such a nice surprise!), and the location was great – only about a 10-minute walk to the train station but still peaceful. Would definitely come back!

Beautiful victorian styled hotel. After hours check in instructions are clear so checking in was easy. Clean room, plenty of amenities, also has good collection of tea bags, coffee pods and coffee making machine. Breakfast was included. Good check out time which allows me to stroll around the area without carrying my luggages before checking out. Overall a pleasant experience.

The hotel has been recently renovated. That being said, there does not seem to be attention to maintenance. For example the bed light fitting was dangerously loose as was the toilet roll holder. We were warned to open the bathroom window and close the door to the ensuite as the smoke detectors were very sensitive to steam. OK. Could cope with sensitive but at around 11pm someone hadn't got the message and the fire alarm went off. It appeared that there was no staff on site and when the fire brigade turned up, they would have had no way of finding out what guests were on site. There was no staff to marshal guests. There was no obvious fire plan in the room. Is this legal? Apart from this critical problem; I have to say that the place has a lovely ambience. The bed was very good though the room was a little dark even with all the lights on. Facilities were good and the room had its own private verandah with table and chairs. Breakfast was serve your self continental style. Plenty of choice and a nice terrace to dine in. Yes I would stay there again but I would hope that the safety issues are remedied soon.

It was such a pleasure to stay at Silkari. Such a lovely stylish clean comfortable accommodation well located and in walking distance to Chatswood shopping and transport hub. I will be returning on future visits to Sydney.
