We have stayed here 3 times now but this time our room had a loud humming noise all night!!! It seemed to be coming through the walls and ceiling so figure it was the air con for the building because we turned ours off And the piped music in the hallway started at 5 am , so being so early in the morning sounded quite loud . This was a pity because up. Until this stay we’ve been happy

Fire alarm went off at 3am in the morning, everyone had no clear instructions to evacuate as it said "standby for evacuation". When we opened the door, everyone was just standing in the corridor waiting for further instructions, so everyone took their initiative to evacuate (just in case it was an actual emergency and not a drill) When we were at the foot of the hotel, fire service was already there with firemen and a fire truck but was backing their vehicle out. No clear instructions from anyone at all. Doors were unlocked so everyone returned to their rooms. We were never informed if it was safe, we were never informed of what happened, we were never properly informed if it was actually "time to evacuate". Overall - great location with intercity tram right outside. Food places and shops all around, minutes to the airport/city. On the flip side, loud music could be heard (not sure if there was a club nearby). A shame to know that evacuation practices are not properly done. On normal occurrence - your safety wouldn't be compromised but in the event of an emergency, we will never know.

We stayed three nights but unfortunately, the fire alarm went off the first two nights in a row at 3am in the morning and no one told us why there was a fire alarm. It was extremely disorganised and very inconvenient. Definitely won’t be staying here again.

Small, clean room with good amenities. The room doors are very loud when they shut and woke me up. Great location with lots of tasty restaurants and lovely Sydney sights in walking distance.

On our stay we woke up to a fire alarm and evacuation order at 3am. After the entire hotel evacuated we could not find a staff member to tell us if it was safe to go back in or not so everyone had to wait downstairs until the fire brigade drove away and just guess it was safe to return to our rooms and go to sleep. When we complained the next morning we were told by the duty manager that it went all according to regulations and they could not do anything regarding refund or well… anything. Will never ever stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Great location and rooms seem to be renovated. Reception staff were amazing and so helpful and kind. Housekeeping staff were knocking and starting to come in to service the room before i checked out. I tried calling out to them that im still in the room. They didnt hear me so i had to get out of bed to open the door before they djd to let them know i was still sleeping and in the room. Other than that it was a great stay

Perhaps because stay was overnight would suggest why the room was small without wardrobe. Suggest that mugs might be offered instead of small cups which you had to wait to cool down when filled with tea or coffee. Staff were friendly but, unfortunately, checked in the same day as a system update which made everything a bit disjointed. Suggest better lighting in the lifts.
