Disappointing Getaway
Right after arrival we discovered the toilet was clogged. Texted agency which seemed to have AI generated support. Sent technician out that night but heater malfunctioned after texting company. Clog was cleared but couldn’t repair heater. Second tech could not fix either and had to come back with small space heater. 3rd tech came day 2 for about 2 hours and could not fix. 3rd day same tech and another more experienced tech came for a good 2 hours, no success. Asked customer service for another heater as it was down in the 50’s inside at night. Second heater was not delivered as temps went down to one degree that night. Asked for compensation and they gave less than 10%. Stated that wasn’t acceptable and they said I would be contacted. Two days later no response and contacted them again. Again told I would be contacted. Over a week now and no contact. Workers who showed up were professional but overall customer support was very poor.

not quite what they said...
This is a studio, but listed for 4 people. That is simply incorrect. The "couch" was not able to have 2 people sleep on it, and we luckily found 2 air mattresses in the closet for the kids to sleep on. However, they both had holes in them, so we had to try and patch them and then reinflate multiple times throughout the night. You should not be counting air mattresses when you advertise that your space sleeps 4 (or IF you do, you should tell the public you are using air mattresses for that count). THe hot water was out the morning after we got there, we called the number and was told to check the basement for the boiler (it was a multiple unit building, we had no basement access). I called back 2x to see if they could send someone out. When I called back hours later they said they weren't sure when someone would be coming out. Luckily, the pipes must've thawed because the hot water was back working by the time we got home from skiing (but not because someone came to fix or look at it). The location is great, the restaurant next door worked well apre skiing, but we will not be returning or using vacasa again.

Lovely small place to stay near the center. My partner and I loved it, highly recommend as a place to stay with your partner, close to breakfast /coffee in the am then a short drive to the mountain and a short walk to Alchemist and being next to the Blue Donkey was great perk.

Beautiful studio close to small town stowe. It was quite expensive for a single nights stay for what we got, not to mention the check-in and out was super late in comparison to a hotel, we were only able to check in at 4;00 and check out was at 10am, so it was really expensive to just sleep there at that price, and manager was not accommodating. Wouldn't recommend to anyone unless it was the last place available. Only thing convenient was the location.

Do not recommend
You could stay here…but I wouldn’t recommend it. The fact that we left early (only stayed two nights of our four night stay) should tell you all you need to know. The main issue is that the owner, I think, of the property insisted on blasting loud, bass-heavy music All. Night. Long. On our first night it last from about 9:30PM to maybe 1:00AM. But night two was a whole different story: the music started at 9:30PM and, when we left to go skiing at 8:30 the next morning, it was still going. I slept for an hour. Both nights I called the 800-number provided and filed a complaint with Vacasa. It appears that on the second night the property owner, who owns the bar attached to the building, turned the music on full blast and left- out of spite in response to multiple complaints from the night before. This was a Sunday and Monday night by the way. I will say the Vacasa property manager with whom I finally spoke was very nice and apologetic. Apparently this guy (the property owner) has been a problem for some time. So, we decided we couldn’t stay through another night and left after only two. Other issues: - The property could have been cleaner - There’s some issue going on with the heater filter, which resulted in constant beeping our entire stay (five beeps every 10 minutes, it’s seared into my brain). We tried to fix it and could not. - There is a kitchen but no cleaning supplies- nothing to spray down the counter before/after you cook. - The futon was very grimy and gross…we sat on towels. Also not comfortable to sit on. - The bed was a full, not a queen as noted in the listing. One reviewer commented that they were sweating through the mattress during their stay and I couldn’t get that out of my mind..gross. - It’s an old building, which is fine. But you can see the basement through the floorboards which is a little creepy. - The “restaurant” next door is actually in the same building, not “less than 100 feet away.” Also, it’s no longer a tapas bar, it’s now a dive bar. As I stated, the bar owner also owns and rents the apartments next door and has no regard for guests. This was truly awful and I’d stay far far away from this property. I truly have no idea what the other positive (and even apologetic) reviewers below are talking about; I suspect these are not real reviews.

Historic building. Nicely renovated. Stained glass in a window frame from the shower to the bedroom. Wide plank ancient pine flooring. Delightful.
