When we woke up in the morning there was no heat. When we called the front desk at about 8 AM they said Maintenance doesn't start until 9 AM. We then went to shower and there was no hot water, so we couldn't shower. We again called the front desk. This time they said others had called with the same issue. It was escalated and the head of maintenance was there looking into it. We went out for the day. At about 2:30 PM we returned and there was still no heat or hot water. The front desk said the boiler was not working at all and they had no idea when the problem would be fixed. They offered to change our room to another building. Which we accepted. The base board heaters in the new room were rusty. When we awoke in the morning and turned up the heat, it was very slow to come up. After an hour the temperature in the room had only gone up 2 degrees. There was hot water. At that point, we packed and left.

The buildings are beautiful and the grounds. The room could have been cleaner and the entire building stunk of Marijuana the second you walked in. Terrible smell that really kinda ruined the time there

The property was very nice though a little far out of town. Still, very beautiful. Unfortunately, the plumbing is absolutely horrendous. We were there three nights and every single night the plumbing above us was so loud that it woke me up continuously. That building is not that old so it should not have such bad plumbing but it was extremely loud and obnoxious. In addition, when we left, we were actually asked to take out our own trash which we believed was absolutely ridiculous! The reason given for this was that it was a "time share" - what? So what? I have stayed at timeshares before and have never had anyone asked me to dump my own trash. Why wouldn't the housekeeper do that? Beautiful location but a few drawbacks.

Nice Resort

This was a nice resort. It's about a 30 minute drive from Woodstock, so plan accordingly. The restaurant on site was surprisingly good. There are several walking trails and many amenities. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. All of the staff were very friendly.

The property was very pretty and the unit we stayed in was lovely. The staff were very nice and the area is beautiful. Great for day trips.

The property itself was very nice and the staff was courteous and professional. Only problem with the room itself was that the bathroom was very small and fairly inconvenient to use. Also, the property offered no real food options for breakfast. Given the remote location, this was a major drawback.
