Downtown Hideaway, studio accommodations, in the heart of the Historic District

A little bit about the unit itself and our location . . .
The main house is a renovated Victorian circa 1880. This studio is a rear unit with a private entrance, queen bed, central air/heat, WiFi, cable TV and a kitchen with a full-size fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. It is strictly a 2-person venue, there being no room for a rollaway bed. Small babies in a sleeper can be accommodated. The bathroom has a large step-in shower and there's a workstation/makeup table for your convenience. The location is super central two blocks from the bayfront and steps from the Flagler College Campus. Wedding venues are all close by and accessible in minutes. The best restaurants in town are minutes away as well on foot. For trips beyond, bikes are parked outside your door ready to explore wider horizons. Free parking with open entry/exit privileges is a few blocks away at the Municipal Garage, at 1 Cordova. Reasonable paid parking is 61 Cordova, almost adjacent to the Hideaway. It is most convenient for late arrivals. You can drive in and to the rear, where you will be fronting Spanish Street. Leave a note on the dash, something like: "Staying at 78 Spanish. Will pay by 8:30 tomorrow."

This Downtown Hideaway Was Perfect!! The free parking was just a short walk from the room and we never needed our car until we left. This place was in absolute walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go...the whole historic downtown St. Augustine. The kitchen area has a microwave, coffee maker, sink, and full size refrigerator, plates, bowls, cups, coffee cups and utensils. No stove top/oven for use. There's a little table with chairs inside, as well as a table and chairs outside. It was nice having our breakfast and coffee outside in the mornings. No drawers for clothes, but there was a clothes rack to hang some, and I used the counter top of the work station/make-up vanity to put out the rest of my clothes (I like taking my clothes out of my luggage). I did notice, but didn't need to use, that there was some beach gear available for use; a couple beach chairs, a cooler, and something else it seems like, I can't remember what it was. Bed and pillows were comfortable and the temperature/climate of the room was easy to control and stayed nice as we set it.From time to time we could hear footsteps from the room above us, but it was never a bother.The host, Joe was very nice and answered any questions we had promptly.We would definitely stay here again. Location and amenities were perfect for us.

The kitchen is small, however it has everything one could need including coffee pods and dish soap wine glasses etc. The convienence was terrific. We parked in the garage and never used the car again until we left. St. George st and most of the hi-visited places are close by. We would stay there again.

This property is in an excellent location to walk around the historic district. We parked our car and didn’t need it during our stay. We got the trolley pass for two days. It includes a bus to the beach. The host was extremely responsive. The room is as described. Small, but sufficient for our needs. We would rent it again.

Joe's property was the perfect spot for our weekend stay for a wedding in downtown St. Augustine. The studio is small, but it has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including beach chairs and a cooler. The studio was very clean, which is always the most important to me. Incredible location, can be noisy

You almost can't ask for a better location in Downtown St. Augustine. Literally a 60 second walk to St George Street, dining, shopping, and more. We parked our car and didn't look back until we checked out. That being said, the party atmosphere doesn't shut down until 2-3AM in some cases. Loud exhaust, subwoofers, party-goers etc can be noisy into the late hours of the evening. Not much anyone can do about that. The room is quaint, much like a hotel room. Bed, restroom, shower, kitchenette, what else do you need. Also the roof of the room doubles as the balcony of the 2nd floor. If your "roommates" on the 2nd floor decide to party all night, they'll be on your roof. Luckily our fellow renters were very chill and even invited us over!We plan on visiting again soon.
