Great family stay!

Bike Week 2025

We came for Bike Week from Wisconsin and loved, loved the area! The house is amazing and very Florida. It was quiet and close to everything. I loved the carport because I was able to park my trailer and not have to pay extra to put my trailer somewhere. Although the weather was a little cool, we were able to enjoy the pool one day. It is heated but was not warm enough. I wish the pool had a screen lanai over it because it was full of leaves. The cleaners didn't come until the day we left. Overall the house is amazing and has everything you would need! We will be back!

Beautiful Getaway

The location was perfect and amenities were plenty. The property was very spacious and accommodating for all of us. Beds were comfy and plenty of linens. The weather was rainy our entire stay, so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool and backyard. The only problem we encountered were the toilets taking a while to fill back up to flush. We will definitely book this property again!

Great Layout and Outdoor Spaces

The house was in a good location, quiet street, surrounded by nice overgrown vegetation which gave it a private feel when you spent time in the pool and on the various porches. Nice layout overall with a large kitchen/living room area on the main floor. Actual not as good as the pictures though. It is older and needs updating. We chose it partly for the bunkroom, but it turned out the set up was not as the pictures presented so we had to rethink sleeping arrangements. Also, the bunkroom is on the lower level, right at the front door, so it was uncomfortable having young children there. The pool was not cleaned until our third day there, and things were not as clean overall as they should have been. Also, managements follow-up to our concerns was slower than it usually is for Vrbo.

Family Vacation

Overall, nice. Needs paint stair rails need to be cleaned. Some updated needed in bathrooms. Loved the outside covered porch. Plenty of seating. Plastic chairs outside cracked. Plenty of chairs and a wagon to take to the beach if needed.

Great Spot for a Girls Getaway!

We loved our long weekend at this cute beachy house. Nice private pool to enjoy out back. Large comfy deck to relax together and loads of seating to watch a good movie. Only disclaimer is the amount of stairs involved getting to and from parking, living area and pool. Would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues.

Nice Stay

The inside of the house was clean and fit our family nicely. There are some maintenance issues & some outdoor items that need attending. I am emailing those to the property manager and I am sure they will take care of them. Driving on the beach if you have 4x4 was a great plus and should be noted in the description. Great location between river and ocean!

Interior was clean and perfect for our group of 6. Exterior could use some attention. Pool umbrellas were moldy. Hard to access pool toys in overgrown shrubs and they were dirty and wet. Overall we'd stay again

Family reunion

While the changed our checking time at the last minute... which made things somewhat difficult... since we had planned our trip to the minute... The pool needed attention... cleaning and water... and was told that someone would be over to address it... no one ever came... we had to fix the dryer... The hot water tank is to small or set to low to accommodate the amount of guests that can sleep there.

Lovely home and great location

Family trip with 9 of us and we all loved the house and the location. Plenty of room, clean, fun decor, well-stocked kitchen, short walk to the beach, and an even shorter walk to the river. As noted in other reviews, there are some items that need to be fixed and the property in general could use a little TLC, but nothing that really affected our stay. The temps were cooler while we were there, but the pool never got very warm, so not sure if an issue with pool heater or just the weather.

Decent Bones and Good Service from Management company

First let me say that itrip vacations was a phenomenal company and was always just a text away when I needed them. I stayed in this home 2 times in the span of two weeks. The first time there was a pull out couch that didn’t pull out, none of the remotes had batteries and the dining room chairs were all about to fall apart. Itrip vacations sent a handyman out to rectify the problems in a timely manner. A few days later i was grilling and the entire bottom of the grill fell out almost right on my feet. A new grill was purchased and was there for our second trip. A few other wonky things about this place. The outlets and all worn and dont hold any prongs in place allowing anything charging to possibly fall right out. We had a few problems with hot water to certain fixtures. The kitchen sink fixture is broken and it is difficult to change from spray mode to regular. Overall this was a good experience except it seems the owner of this place is not interested in upkeep. That worked out for us as we had teenagers, so I didn’t have to worry about them breaking things as most of the fixtures and appliances get so much wear and are in need of some repair when we arrived. Bring a small tool kit as you may have to tighten legs on a chair or tighten up a door knob that is barely hanging on. If you need space near the beach and aren’t worried about having everything work perfectly this may be your space. For the price i dont think it is worth it. For future trips i will most likely us itrip vacations but will not stay at this unit.

Nice sized space. Very roomy with nice outside covered sitting area. Nice private pool. Public beach parking just a few blocks from the home with lots of available parking and a short walk to a beautiful beach. Would stay again.

Great beach house!

Overall, really enjoyed our stay! We were a party of 10 ladies in town for a bachelorette party, so it was just the right size for us. It was a good location for us being near the beach but also not too far from downtown St. Augustine. The host was very accommodating in letting us check in early and very responsive with questions during our stay. The pool was the biggest bonus for us, and felt like we were in our own private oasis. I do think the property is a little more “well-loved” than the pictures portray but we didn’t mind. They were also a little a stingy with house supplies like TP, paper towels, garbage bags, things like that. For a house with 10 people to have only a single extra roll of TP per bathroom is a little extreme, especially when we’re from out of town and don’t have easy access to purchase our own. We resorted to stashing our own tissue while out to get through the last day, so for other visitors, you might consider bringing your own extras. I would also like to point for other out-of-towners, it was rather difficult to get Ubers or Lyfts at times…ride sharing services seem to be a little unpredictable in this area so I would plan ahead as much as possible. All in all, would visit again!

Beautiful and HUGE beach house!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chiquita Sun house. Nicely furnished and HUGE rooms with hardwood floors throughout. The master BR had an amazing luxury bathroom. The open Floorplan living room/dining room/kitchen made a great area to relax with friends. Not to mention the covered porch and very secluded pool area with heated pool. We only wish we could have stayed longer.. We would highly recommend this place for either short or long getaways.

Spacious and comfortable

Had a wonderful girls weekend at the Chiquita Sun House. The house provided a spacious and comfortable setting to provide the back drop to our St Augustine trip-only 15 mins away. We enjoyed lounging on the cushy sofas, sleeping in the soft beds, sipping coffee on the extravagant covered porch, and cooking/dining in the large kitchen. Unfortunately we only dipped our toes in the heated pool, so we will save that for next time.
