Location Location Location

This house was conveniently located to Hocking Hills State Park, Ash Cave, Jack Pine Glass Blowing Studio, and Rock House. The fall tree colors were beautiful. The game room (foosball, air hockey) was a great spot to entertain the younger ones while meals were being made. The gravel driveway is steep...plan to accelerate a bit to get up. The hot tub was a great way to relax after hiking.

Quick family trip to Hocking Hills

Our family had a great mid week family trip to Hocking Hills with a two night stay at Casa del Sol. The location was perfect to maximize our time in the parks. The cabin was very nice we just wish that there was a few more chairs outside.

Great mini vacation

The property was nice. I love that it was right down the street from Ash Cave so we didn't have to far to go. We made that our plans for Saturday. The game room was a nice touch. It kept the adults entertained! My only suggestion would be to put another table or chair in the upstairs bedrooms to put extra bags or suitcases on instead of leaving them on the floor. Both rooms have nice size closets but I don't unpack my bags and was afraid to put them on the racks in the closet (was afraid it might break them). Other than that it was a great place to stay at. I would recommend it for future trips!

Great place

We had a great stay, the only issue was the check in process was not communicated very well. We had to drive a little further to pick up our keys. Also, the hot tub was a little further away from the house than we had thought.

Tranquil ideal location, but nothing special

Three couples spent five days/four nights here over Memorial Day weekend 2024. The house was spacious and very close to many of the popular hikes (our primary purpose of the trip). We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and serene woodsy setting. Although this group can have fun no matter what we do and where we go, there were a few things that were quite disappointing to us. First, the refrigerator leaked from the freezer down into the fridge. It got much of our food wet and we had to toss some things out. There was a sign on the front of the refrigerator stating the importance of keeping it set at level 3, which we never changed. Made us think they knew something was wrong, but hadn’t addressed it yet. It caused water to pool on the floor and we had to keep a towel down there to catch it. Second, the beds were extremely uncomfortable. We used all queen sized beds and nobody got a good night’s sleep. In addition, the towels were super thin and frat house quality. The overall cleanliness was a bit off putting. The light fixtures above the stove were filthy with small insects stuck to the greasy sconces. We also found the packaging from a sex toy sticking out from under the couch. It appeared the cleaning service just pulled a quick touch up prior to our arrival, rather than a quality cleaning.

Ideal for families

Property is ideal for children and families. Lots of space to play outdoors. Surrounding area has lots of outdoor activities. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Please remember there's no washing machine, dryer or dishwasher.

Wonderful getaway weekend

Property was very nice. Home was gorgeous. My only complaint would be that the hot tub was too far from the house. It would be better suited up by the back porch. It might be fine in the summer but it was a long run naked in the snow!! Beds were fine. Upstairs showers were nice and hot. The bath downstairs did not have hot water which deterred a bubble bath. Wifi worked great. TV had plenty of options. Probably could have used a scrubber in the kitchen for dishes. Also.. to the host.. might consider putting push buttons on the shower heads so they can easily be turned on/off for water conservation. I had to keep readjusting. And a hanging caddy would be nice in the shower as we had no where to sit soap and shampoo. Directions were perfect. We drove right there. Driveway could have been bad with a 2wd. I brought a 4wd jeep and had no issues in the snow but a car might have. Looked like someone did come by and salt it. Didnt use the gameroom but it looked nice. Overall we had a great time. I would definitely recommend it. Looked like 6 adults would fit comfortably with perhaps 2 children.. hot tub is only big enough for about 2 adults.. it was nice though. Had a good time. 😊

The Casa Del Sol was as expected. The internet was not working and we had to move to another much smaller house. Witjout internet, we could not check in with work, TV did not work, phone did not work. Our private phone would only work outside. If a problem occured, we would not be able to contact anyone. The towels were very thin and old.There were no curtains in one bedroom. The dishes in the cupboard were wet... The dead bolt would not catch so we had to use the other lock. The house that we moved to, Shdow Wood, was very small and the water smelled like rotten eggs. It smelled so bad throughout the entire house.The people we worked with were very nice.

Family Time

The cabin was great. It was very clean. The location was perfect. Close to many of the hiking spots. It wasn’t too far into Logan. We had a great time while staying there. The driveway was steep at the top, but we didn’t have any issues and don’t have 4 wheel drive. It would have been nice to have some extra hand towels. There was only one hand towel per bathroom and one for the kitchen. There was no hand soap. The beds were not very comfortable. You had to drive to the office to pick up and drop off the cabin key. It was about 15 minutes away. Overall we had a great time as a family staying at this cabin.

Beautiful Setting

The house is located in the woods in a beautiful part of Ohio. Looking out the windows felt like we were the only people around. The house was comfortable for six adults and the game room was great fun.

Overall, this was a nice place to stay. The driveway is pretty steep and I had a hard time getting up it. The water was would turn a brownish color so we had to buy bottle water.

Beautiful spot and plenty of room for our family.

Nice place to stay, clean and spacious for everyone. Close to Ash Cave and a number of other sites to see!! Water pressure was a little low but was good enough.

We enjoyed our girls weekend away. It is a beautiful area. Loved the hiking. The cabin was perfect for us. Only problem we had was the electricity went out Saturday at 8:30pm due to storm and did not come back on until 3:00am. No pump for water. Not many placed to eat.

Beautiful tree house like views

The setting was so peaceful & private, and the view out every window was like being in a treehouse. There was plenty of room for 6 adults, & each couple had their own bathroom which was very nice. The hot tub really only fits two adults comfortably, and is down the driveway a smidge from the cabin (just a small inconvenience, but worth noting). The 15 mile drive in to the town of Logan takes about 30 minutes, so that's important to know, if going in to town often is your plan. Overall it was a nice place for us all to be able to stay together.
