This was a weekend trip for my 14 year olds birthday, and she was so excited about the Christmas Wonderland & going swimming. We got a early check in notice sent to us from Marriott. We arrived at 2pm, and was told that they didn't have a room for us until 3pm. We went to get something to eat. We came back at 3:10 to see the lobby with families sitting at the tables, and we were told they had no room for us. My whole intent for getting a room & staying overnight was so that my daughter could swim & I could relax in the hot tub. What do we see???? The hot tub is closed off, and being removed. The pool was freezing cold & we're told after the fact that it was only operating on one heater. Very unhappy as this was our sole reason for staying at the hotel. We go in our room to shower, and our water was only hot for the first person. We try to turn on the tv & the remote won't work. The front desk attendant gives us batteries to put into the remote which still doesn't work. My daughter goes back down to the desk & we're told that we need a whole new box. Staff were very nice, but the whole experience was terrible. She was so excited, and it was a terrible letdown. The final kicker we go down for breakfast before we leave... we're the only ones there & the bacon was burnt & they only had small dessert plates. My daughter had to break her waffle apart into fours to be able to eat it. So very sad....
