El Bosque Boutique Hotel
"We booked the Bosque Suite, & overall loved our stay! There was plenty to do around the property, including exploring short trails into the forest, checking out the animals (geese, ducks, chickens, & pony) around the property, relaxing in the (small) pool or jacuzzis, enjoying the nightly outdoor movie screenings (Spanish dubs, English subtitles), & spa access. Everything around the property was very clean, & housekeeping was great in tidying our room daily. We very much enjoyed having a cooked-to-order breakfast each morning. The suite we stayed in was wonderful overall. It's separated from the rest of the hotel's rooms, offering peace, quiet, & privacy. The space is large, & furniture in good condition. The air conditioning was great in helping us cool off from our various outings! The semi-exposed bathroom was SO cool, especially when monkeys darted past as I showered. We did, however, have a few concerns while staying in this particular suite. Due to recent storms, some trees had been cut down surrounding the suite, leaving the bathroom window uncovered. This made using the toilet feel more exposed—installing a curtain over the window would go a long way. Additionally, it rained overnight our last night there, & we discovered the hard way that there were two leaks in the roof directly over the bed. When we addressed this with staff in the morning, they were sympathetic, but offered only offered a change of room despite paying for THAT suite, and us checking out that day."
