"A lovely hotel in a great location"
I spent 3 days at the Golden Tulip for a nearby meeting and really enjoyed it. The staff were very nice and the room itself was spacious, clean and very quiet (on the 14th floor). There was a bit of a musty smell but that cleared when the air conditioning was on. The restaurant was terrific and had a great breakfast buffet that came with the room. I also had lunch there one day which included delicious sushi/sashimi and hot food as well. I would stay there again for sure!

Tivoli Sao Paulo - Mofarrej

Alameda Santos 1437, Cerqueira César, Sao Paulo - Map
"Better than the average Brazilian hotel, but maybe not for what your paying for"
I travel constantly to Sao Paulo and I most said this is better than the average hotel in Brazil (In general my perception is that Brazil does not have a good hotel and service infrastructure). The service in general was good, the breakfast average. The bed was nice and comfortable and the location is good, no free internet in the lobby though, you need to pay around 20 euros per day to have access to the web. This hotel is better than others in the city but the price is way higher. Definitely they charge as a true upscale hotel but is not really one, is just good.

"Nice Hotel"
This hotel is centrally located, next to Ibirapuera Mall and Congonhas Airport (Domestic Airport). It is a pretty modern building, and the rooms are quite big. The restaurant serves a nice buffet, with local and international dishes. You can also walk two miles to get to Ibirapuera Park, which is a nice option for those who like jogging. The Moema district, where the hotel is located, is also very nice since it has many bars and restaurants to choose from.

Blue Tree Premium Paulista

Rua Peixoto Gomide 707, Sao Paulo - Map
"Executive Hotel"
This is a nice boutique hotel in a great location. It is a popular hotel and the lobby is usually filled with guests. Some of the staff speak English and all are helpful. The beds are firm and comfortable. The rooms are carpeted with beige carpet that could use a good cleaning. The hallways smell like BO which is surprising for this level of hotel. Sao Paulo is a noisy city and there is no escape here. There is a great breakfast buffet included in the room rate. I would stay here again based on the price, location and breakfast.

Sao Paulo Hotel & Travel Guide

Sao Paulo is one of the largest cities in the world, and one of the most vibrant and exciting. This bustling metropolis features dramatic architecture, world-class museums, and a wide variety of cuisine at every corner. But don't let the sheer magnitude of this city overwhelm you. When you're planning your trip to Brazil, check out Sao Paulo vacation packages to help you find the right attractions for you.

Out and About in Sao Paulo

To see as much of the city as you can, head downtown to Paulista Avenue, where in addition to many Sao Paulo hotels, you'll find the Sao Paulo Museum of Art, featuring works by Picasso, Renoir, and many renowned Brazilian artists. There's also a five-story mall with 160 shops, and a small urban park known as Parque Siqueira Campos for enjoying a stroll.

Like the sturdy, age-old cathedrals of Europe, Latin America boasts remarkable houses of worship, and the Sao Paulo Cathedral will wow any visitor. After four decades of construction, the cathedral was completed in 1954 in the Neo-Gothic style, and is located in the heart of the city in the Se district, just steps from many hotels in Sao Paulo.

To see a bit of the Far East filtered through the spectrum of Latin America, look no farther than the Liberdade District, not far from the Cathedral. Not only will you find cheap hotels in Sao Paulo in this area, but it's also home to the city's Japantown, containing the largest Japanese population in the world outside of Japan.

    Eating and Drinking

Make sure you stop to eat at one of the Japanese restaurants in the Liberdade for classic Japanese fare. After trying some of the sushi, make sure you try out some local Brazilian delights, like the delectable stew feijoada, or rice and bean dish baiao-de-dois. Many restaurants serving these dishes can be found in the Cerqueira Cesar District.

To enjoy these and many other delicacies, look for flights to Sao Paulo to fit your budget and schedule, and check out mobile exclusive deals on the Travelocity app.
